What guests said about Overpelt:

  • 8.0
    Scored 8.0

    Overpelt consists of 2 parts.

Overpelt consists of 2 parts. De Floreffe is 5 km from the town centre which is modern and prosperous. The B&B is closer to the residential area which is still expanding. There is a bakery, small cafe and 2 small supermarkets. In addition a "greasy spoon" Doner Kabab and Pizza eat in or take away is just down the road plus a well appointed restaurant across the road from the B&B. The area is well known for walkers and bikers with trails well marked. There is a modern industrial park some 7km way which has replaced the zinc foundary and associated service industry which started the development of Overpelt from a farming community to what is today. It is a prosperous area and the achitecture and amenities reflect this. Although a little away from the busy town centre of a Town life, this, for many, is what makes it an ideal place to live.
