There was no WI-FI in the room. This drove me crazy. As it was promised however. I left my passport behind and they did everything they could to get it back to me.
One more thing. I've travelled the world. I've ate at many different places and that restaurant offers some of the most exceptional food. I actually went back to the restaurant without staying at the hotel because it is "THAT GOOD!"

Hands down the best equipped accommodation I've ever stayed in. This place literally has everything you need. We didn't meet the host in person, but communication on whatsapp was excellent and directions to check yourself in were super clear. I wish more places had their hospitality at such high level. It exceeded our expectations. Thank you so much for providing this.

It has a pleasant walking centre. It is convenient to the local hills which are worth a visit for the views across the plain. For eating the hotel restaurant is excellent and one of the reasons we visit.

I own a property in Sliven and try to stay close to the 90 days my passport will allow without a visa. Sliven and I have a long history including love and marriage, extended family in law, and now property But I love hiking up the Red Trail from the Priroden Park Center to the intersection with the Green Trail (about 70 meters below the wooden hikers hut) and then taking the Green Trail down the other side to Xalkata and on down to the Lift Station.
I also love biking around town and in the villa zone. It's my summer away from Florida while the surf is flat to get in shape and enjoy the Balkan Zhivot.
Hey America. You don't need to come to Sliven and spoil it like so many other great places. Just leave this place alone. I found it first
Plus for 10 leva admission, the city pool was a LIFE SAVER during some of those 39 C plus day that's about 95 F and above.

I was there in December.
I was there in December. Weather was nice, though, and the view of the mountains is beautiful. In the evening, there isn't much going on in the city. After 9pm almost all restaurants and fast food locations are closed.

Lovely little town, full of character, nice people, great food, easy to get to everything by foot, so you don’t need a car.
We stayed at a central hotel, great little gem, shops and city centre near buy, very clean city, and in the evening the central square becomes life with music and families gathering at restaurants, great atmosphere.
I would go back if I could to visit the museum, you need to have local currency for this.

Sliven is a beautiful and typical Bulgarian city.
A visit to Karandila mountain is highly recommended for the freshly baked bread from the bakery there, the sunflower seeds and the great view.
Furthermore don't miss the chance to visit Zheravna, a village set in a small valley quite near to Sliven (approximately 40 minutes by car) and an architectural reserve of national importance consisting of more than 200 wooden houses from the Bulgarian National Revival period (18th and 19th century).
