A beautiful, quiet, breezy (no mozzies) property in the perfect location between Sorobon, dive sites and Kralendijk. The gardens are young but already beautiful and the pool is heavenly. Loved the iguanas, lizards and hummingbirds. And being located at the end of the runway, it was awesome standing on the rooftop bar terrace watching the planes take off. Only a couple a day and not at unsociable hours so definitely a spectacle rather than a disturbance. And the food, well, it is just amazing. Fenna and Melvin are the perfect hosts. Well done guys!

It is a nice little city with lovely restaurants and great grocery stores. We found nice shops and fun places to have cocktails by the sea. Luciano's is right across the street from the sea and has wonderful gelato! We had amazing meals at Capriccio (which has a sea view), and C"est La Vie. Bon Tapa has delicious food and and really tasty fresh made sangria. Mona Lisa also served delicious food, but is quite pricey. We love El Pascado for a more budget friendly meal, and Rumba has really great pizza.
The shore diving in Bonaire is really great! We went with Dive Friends for tank rentals a they have multiple locations to pick up and drop off tanks. Some of our favorite dive sites this time were, Torre's reef, Red Slave, Tolo, and Pink beach. All of these also have good snorkeling.
It's definitely busier in town when the cruise ships are in , but they are mostly gone by 5pm. Also, there is a schedule of when and which dock they will arrive at in the local newspaper.

Nice town, always felt safe. Very friendly overall.
Nice town, always felt safe. Very friendly overall. Expensive, but this is to be expected on an island where everything is imported. Cruise ship "tourons" overwhelm downtown during the day when boats are in. Great eating options.

Everything in walking distsnce.
Everything in walking distsnce. We ate at the Trocadero and the Club Boulevard. Fantastic. The service at the Club B was outstanding. David the person serving our table is his weight in gold worth for every restaurant owner. The food fantastic. Also for me as vegetarian. Price vs quality very very good.

Bring your own wash clothes, I felt not fully cleaned.
Bring your own wash clothes, I felt not fully cleaned. You will need a taxi because there is nothing to do but beach in the area. The room 4 I was in was right by the lobby and it was noisy, at night they only serve pizza and it was not good. I would stay closer to the downtown area if I went again because you can walk and do things. The only good thing is if your looking to do nothing, this is the place to stay. My room was supposed to be a deluxe but it wasn't. It was like a dorm room. I couldn't open window because of bugs flying in.

Out of the three islands I found Bonaire the best bargain.
Out of the three islands I found Bonaire the best bargain. Arube is more for a pricy beach vacation, largely for americans. Curacao has a lof or dutch and british party crowd. I found there to be an unpleasant vibe from the locals. Most things are run down.
Bonaire, there is a pleasant vibe, great snorkling all around, and easier to get around by car or scooter.
I loved my stay at the Ocean Breeze! it was such a convenient location, only 3 minutes from the airport, but this does also mean you can hear the planes occasionally - not a big deal though. The staff were wildly helpful! They assisted me in making dinner reservations (it was quite necessary in COVID times), always had towels & always greeted you when you came in. I cannot quite speak to the restaurant as I did not eat there, but I did have a glass of wine and took a quick pool dip. I would stay here again when in Bonaire!
I love the location. So convenient to all that you need while staying on Bonaire. I love that El Bigote Mexican restaurant is adjacent to The Hut. Their food is fresh, and the staff is wonderful. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that FPA Sports is adjacent to The Hut. Lennart with FPA provided me with the best reintroduction into scuba diving. His patience and skills are above and beyond my expectations. He took me on some incredible dives where we swam with turtles and I was able to see two beloved sea horses in their grace and glory.
Our stay was nice. We booked 2 weeks before for 2 nights however something went wrong in the system so owner had double booking: on his behalf he organized that we were even picked up at airport and stayed nicely in another hotel for 1 night. Well done!
Second night was good. Decent room on corner of hotel with good bed, aircon, bath room and balcony.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Location is perfect: right at start of city center with supermarket close by.
Location, location, location! Short walk to downtown and/or the ocean. A ten minute walk can put you in the heart of downtown Kralendijk or one of the many snorkeling/diving sites. The owners were generous with their time and assisted with any questions I had and always had a suggestion for a restaurant, best sites to visit and best time to visit them, etc. Room was a nice size with a quiet outdoor porch if you want to sit and relax. Highly recommend.
I really enjoyed my stay in wanapa boutique hotel. Fena and her husband run this family business with so much care and attention to guests. The facilities are amazing and not far from any other location in the island. Breakfast was delicious and complete. I totally recommend this hotel in an island which is a piece of paradise .
It is a cozy, safe, small, family owned hotel. Very refreshing in small-scale Bonaire, which becomes increasingly dominated by large-scale hotel business (Marriott, Van der Valk Plaza Beach Resort, etc). Michael, the son of the owners, was extremely friendly and helpful at the reception desk, speaking Papiamento, Dutch, English.
I like how they had an elevator to the upper floors. Other than that, everything was too commercialized, which is not what you want when you come to a small island like Bonaire. I was able to use a shower room even after check out, so that was convenient.
Raymond (the owner) was so kind and helpful. He is so attentive to guests. He is always checking up on me to make sure I have everything from water, toilet paper and an AC that works. Beyond kind! And hotel is better in person 1000%.
A very centrally located hotel within minutes walking distance of central Kralendijk. The room was comfortable, impeccably clean & well equipped with a kitchenette where I was able to prepare basic meals. Great value too.
It's a small hotel (without restaurant) in a nice local community 10 minutes from Kralendijk. For me as kiter ideal. Owner knows a lot what to do and where to eat. Everything basic but new with great collars outside.
The hotel is in walking distance of shops, reataurants, supermarkets. The room was very clean and it was great having a balcony with extra chairs also. Even at night you can walk because there's enough streetlight.
Good location near the airport and close to Kralendijk. Nicely situated houses/hotel rooms with enough privacy. Nice swimming pool (although 1m max depth) Good and prompt service from the personnel.
The room and hotel were new, had a modern look and room was clean. The staff in the tosti bar below was nice and helpful. If you are looking for a central place to just sleep, this could be it
