We had such a wonderful experience at the Lark & Loon! It felt like a home away from home, very cozy common areas filled with rich history of the area. We stayed in the Granville room which was perfect, had a very comfortable bed and a large ensuite. Breakfast was also delicious and the hosts Kevin & Lesley were so welcoming and gave us tons of good recommendations.
If you’re planning a trip to Annapolis Royal, we can’t recommend the Lark & Loon enough for a quintessential B&B experience.

My family and I were amazed by the huge lot of the property with an apple orchard and a corn field in a quiet area. The villa is big and well equipped with all big and small items you would need, ranging from BBQ tools to lozenges! The kids love the pool table and darts in the basement! Very considerate and thoughtful of the host! The rooms are clean and spacious. The house is old without A/C but it was breezy enough at our summer night with fans on. The host was responsive to our enquires. We had and an enjoyable stay!
Bayside Inn is located in on Digby's waterfront. Free Wi-Fi access and a full daily breakfast are both available. Several restaurants can be found within 10 minutes' walk.

Regarding the Motel- Here’s a few things that we really liked: the Annapolis Royal Inn is located just a short drive from town, free parking, friendly staff, temperature of room- excellent, great bedding, the shower velocity (excellent), and a nice breakfast, Just a couple of things to mention that weren’t so great: two gobs of gum on the floor by the bedside table and a broken toilet handle. Gave me a feeling of “sub standard”. But these things are hopefully addressed because everything else was good.
Now the town: we keep going back and love this place. It is beautiful, historic, so friendly. Go visit the exceptional staff at ARCH&PO. It is our new favourite. The staff are so friendly. Every food item - EXCELLENT! What an absolute jewel. The Saturday market is just lovely. The river never disappoints. The drive to Victoria Beach is beautiful through Granville Ferry. However our one huge disappointment was the restaurant Called “Crow’s Nest”. The worst fish and chips ever. The fries were over-cooked and the fish was unbelievable. Supposed to be 2-pieces. The fish was the thinnest, unbattered, fishiest, unpalatable fish I have ever experienced. Disgusting. We were looking forward to this place. But - we will never go back.

If you have been to Niagara-On-The-Lake, Ontario, I can tell you this town reminded me of that town very much. Very old, charmingly beautiful and well-preserved. A gem, with walking trails and a charming downtown. We tried to find a gluten-free restaurant for dinner, but being Sunday, our choices went down to zero. We drove a half hour to Digby to dine at the Fundy Restaurant which we knew to have an extensive gluten-free menu, and a great view of the harbour.
If you are looking for a restaurant in Annapolis Royal, be sure to make reservations in advance. The historic, old hotels are also highly in demand, so you need to make reservations well in advance.

A small, lovely historic town full of gorgeous, old homes.
A small, lovely historic town full of gorgeous, old homes. Founded in 1604, it is the first permanent European settlement in North America north of St. Augustine, Florida. It's located on the Annapolis River, which flows in from the Bay of Fundy, so it has some impressive tides. For its size, there are quite a few attractions, including historic gardens and Fort Anne, a 17th-century fortress.

Our stay was perfect in every way. Leslie and Kevin were so friendly and welcoming. The Inn was beautifully decorated for Christmas with soft music playing throughout and has a lot to offer historically as you step back in time to a different era with it's furnishings and decor. Breakfast was delicious, and served in the formal dinning room.
Room and ensuite were comfortable, clean and though not spacious, just fine for a couple of nights. Breakfast was delicious and we spent some time in the common rooms relaxing. Great location, with easy access to Annapolis Royal by foot. Whole house nicely decorated with lots of interesting things to peruse. I would stay here again.
It is an older inn with many modern updates. Right now they give you a bagged breakfast, which had a hard boiled egg, juice, cereal bar and cheese. They had my price messed up but honoured my booking.com price and apologized. You have your own entrance which is nice, it was very quiet and the beds were super comfy.
OMG! I cannot say enough good things about our stay here at the Lark & Loon. Everything from the loveliness of the Inn, to it’s convenient location to multiple sites in Nova Scotia and the absolute wonderful hosts, Kevin & Leslie, I would rate 10 stars. Would definitely stay here again.
The room was cozy and clean, and the bed was so comfortable! The Garrison inn was delightful, breakfast was delicious, and the spa bath in the room was such a bonus.
Lovely waterfront to explore, many small cafe within a short walk. I would 100% stay again
This is a lovely, stately Queen Anne home with beautiful furnishings. Our room was large and quiet, with a lovely bathroom. Laszlo is a very gracious host and breakfast was superb! (I didn’t take a bathroom picture so included breakfast instead).
The breakfast was wonderful! Fresh croissants, fresh fruit, eggs, toast, coffee and tea. Aesthetically the Bailey house is quite nice. The bed was very comfortable. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. The gardens and views are amazing.
Exceptional B&B. Engaged and highly informative innkeeper with an excellent breakfast that I would gladly pay for. He makes the best omelettes I have ever had before.
Bed was very comfortable and the house was well decorated as a whole.
The Inn is beautiful and so comfortable. My daughter and I loved staying in such a historic home. The beds were very soft and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and filling.
Very nice historic inn with the chare of ancient time, well kept in shape with very friendly owners making it a nice personel experience. To be definitly recommendet
The old world ambience. The marvelous hosts...Kevin and Lesley. The location. The beautiful room. The amazing breakfast. The overall welcoming feeling to the Inn.
An older hotel that has been updated and remodeled. It has quiet well kept grounds, clean rooms and a great breakfast. We will stay again on the next trip .
The Inn is very welcoming and so are the hosts. Great town to roam around and share delicious food. Very relaxing. Great value and the breakfast is amazing.
