Breakfast was great, evening meals were excellent and the staff made it better.
Absolutely breathtaking ! Lake after lake after lake, they’re everywhere. Lots of wildlife as well. The views are incredible and the people are so kind and accommodating. If you love great seafood, this is one of the place to go in Nova Scotia.

Baddeck is a jewel on the B.D. Lakes.
Baddeck is a jewel on the B.D. Lakes. It is very scenic with lovely tourist shops and cafes. The scenery is amazing and the salt water lake offers recreational opportunities. Don't miss the nightly ceilidh, and especially on Thursday evenings. There are lots of great places to eat or drink local beverages.

A very pretty town in itself and the perfect jumping off for the famed Cabot Trail. There are some nice restaurants including the Freight Shed which sits right on the dock which has Muskoka chairs where one can sit and take in the view of the lighthouse.

We spent a lot more time in the Bell's museum because it was above and beyond our expectation.
The museum guided tours are a must-do!
It runs only twice a day (morning and afternoon, but different tour subjects), so make sure to make it.
Our guid was just fantastic!.
We wish our kids were with us for this.
All in all we spent half a day at the museum.

Small town with many restaurants, boutiques, cafes as well as basic amenities such as a pharmacy and grocery store. Wonderful walks along the shore of the Bras D’Or lakes as well as the pier and through town. There are also cultural events such as the music concert we attended and a drama group that puts on plays. The Alexander Bell museum is worth a visit as well.

Everyone should visit the Alexander Graham Bell exhibit.
Everyone should visit the Alexander Graham Bell exhibit. We learned so much about him and his wife and their impact on science and aviation and so much more!! Needs to be taught in school
Good restaurants from Toms Pizza to the Cable Room five star dining.
Has a neat waterfront boardwalk. A private mega yacht The Mary A was there WOW.
Fantastic location - close to the start of the Cabot trail in Baddeck. We had a two bedroom cottage. Not big but well set up with all the necessary appliances. The outdoor deck faced a vast expanse of green meadows and trees and mountains. I would have been happy to just sit there and gaze at the mountains. The place was easy to get to. Since the place was outside of town, the star dotted night sky is a real visual treat from this place.
Rooms were clean. Beds were comfortable. There was a fridge in the room. Rooms are very spacious. Queen beds can easily accommodate an adult and a child. Staff was courteous to arrange for a microwave oven in lobby at late night to heat the food for our kids. Staff was patient when we checked in late at 10:50 PM which still within their check-in time limit (but still staff can get mad in few other hotels, you never know).
Dunlop Inn is located on the outskirts of Baddeck but still in close proximity to town centre. This Victorian era house is right on the water unlike centrally located Telegraph House Hotel which is part of the group.
Our room was spacious beds comfortable and breakfast perfect
The owners live in the property in low season and thus this explains the very homely atmosphere
It is a perfect stopover on Cabot Trail
I stayed here after tourist season ended, so I was the only guest. The hotel/motel is old and a bit run-down, but it was clean and perfectly adequate for a one night stay. The restaurant was closed for season. The proprietor gave me a helpful map of the region and gave me excellent guidance on things to do. I went in November when most hotels and restaurants and attractions are closed for the season.
I liked the location. Was on a hill so had an amazing view of Bras D'Or lake. Went for a nice swim & enjoyed a beer on the dock. Was a 3-5 minute drive to Baddeck. Staff was excellent and very friendly. Dining room was very pleasant with a great view of lake. Breakfast, which is not included in price, was wonderful and service was great.
Since I was travelling with my mum & sister, it was great that when we arrived our room for 3 with 2 double beds turned out to be a room with 2 doubles & a single! We also liked the fact that although we were in the motel section of the hotel rather than the main part of the hotel, we could still see the water from our room.
We traveled 1500 miles to get to Baddeck and Nova Scotia and we were really expecting our stay in the Inverary Resort to be a great one. Would like to start with the positive: primary location, beautiful views near the lake, excellent breakfast and staff at breakfast is very nice.
Very good location .Baddeck is a cute town and location is perfect to explore the Cabot Trail. The site is charming and beautifully maintained . Its nice to have access by your own door and free parking right in front of your room. Room was large , pleasant and clean.
Hotel well placed for Baddeck..you could walk or drive. Polite reception staff, friendly. Rooms very comfortable, clean and lots of space, comfy beds..good showers
Breakfast was good...Nice menu. Pool was great..good place to cool off on a hot day.
The staff went over and above to help us when we had car trouble. The front desk staff contacted the owner/manager who came to the hotel after hours and helped to fix our problem. It made all the difference and allowed us to continue our vacation!
Everything was excellent. Ann and Jeff were wonderful hosts with a warm welcome and tips for exploring Cape Breton. Our room was gorgeous, comfortable and impeccably clean. The balcony overlooking the water was the perfect bonus.
The room was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. The bathroom was large. The garden on the grounds was beautiful. The hotel is close to town. We stayed at five different places in Nova Scotia and this was our favorite.
Cyndy and Dave were welcoming and their place was comfortable and had everything you'd need. Oh, and breakfast options are plentiful and delicious. It was an easy walk into Baddeck for restaurants and shops.
The property is convenient to Baddeck and area. It is a quiet spot and the owners are very helpful. This property does not incl. food, but has a full kitchen. A good size deck and BBQ.
Nice hotel in lovely grounds with great views of the lake.
Room was a good size with very comfy beds.
All the staff were friendly and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
Perfect location to explore Baddeck and the Cabot Trail. Very close to some nice restaurants by the water. Good value for money and easy parking. Will definitely be back.
