Timber House Resort, hotel in Brighton

This beachfront country-style resort in Brighton, Ontario features uniquely decorated rooms, some with wood beam ceilings. Barcovan Golf Club is 5 minutes’ drive away.

Location is great. Staff is wonderful-friendly and there when you want but not hovering. Not just pet friendly but pet welcoming! That’s very hard to find. Because it was March not many people so almost had the place to ourselves with two large comfortable common rooms where we could make ourselves coffee, play board games and entertain our 8 month old grandson.

We really liked the view the apartment was well laid out and very sound proof. The hosts gave us detailed information before our stay, so that we could make the most of it and knew what we needed to bring. They were accessible to ask questions and got back right away with the answers. We really appreciated that we had netflix and prime as well. Thanks so much! We loved our stay!

Brighton is a small, pleasant community of friendly, helpful residents. We were delighted observing the unique character of the down town buildings and the pride of ownership which is evident wherever you go. The employees at the Sobeys grocery store went over and above to assist us in even the small things which added to our overall very pleasant stay here. The marina restaurant's staff were very friendly and the food was very good. Due to covid restrictions we were directed to a picnic bench at the waters edge to enjoy our meal where we were thrilled to be accompanied by a family of swans. It is a place we will definitely visit again!

Small quiet town. Clean with nice people.

Small quiet town. Clean with nice people. Is near to the Presqu’île National Park. Lots of farms and a picturesque scenery. We went first of three days of our stay in the Sandbanks national Park (50 min away) and we spended the last three days exploring beaches around Brighton which was a nice experience.

Brighton is a lovely place situated on the Lake two hours drive from Toronto. It was a pretty little town and we enjoyed walking round the shops. Presqu'ile Park is a beautiful place to walk. We needed more time to explore other places in and around Brighton.

We have stayed at 3 different B & B's, and all have been very good. If you want to eat, I highly recommend the "Whistling Duck", right on the waterfront. The food there is great. Try the prime rib special on Saturdays, especially good.

Brighton in the gateway to Quinte West.

Brighton in the gateway to Quinte West. The town offers good shops, restaurants and has marinas for boat launches into Prequile Bay and lake Ontario. Lots of trails for walking and cycling. The town offers the traveler good accommodations and some exceptional views of the bay, loaded with abundant wild life.
