A mid size town, quiet and not too much to do. I have been here for work and had nothing to claim about. Enough food options, a Wal Mart and other shops and an open land around, and not to forget the Brooks Bandits, the local icehockey team.
Calgary is 2h away but easy to drive to. The Rockies are 3 hours to drive and especialy in winter time an absolute highlight.

Brooks has one main road on which you'll find all the services including a Walmart. You can't really walk to get to places. There's no "downtown" with little bar and cafes. There's a nice island located about 15 minutes south called Kinbrook Island which has lots of campsites, day use, beach and boat launch.
At night, it is not very safe as Brooks does not have it own police force, so lots of thefts and robberies.

A one night stay in a very comfortable room, which was spotlessly clean. Unfortunately we had no swimwear, so we didn’t get to enjoy the pool and hot tub.
We had a lovely meal at the adjoining eatery. Very prompt service and very reasonably priced.

We were camping just south of Brooks so it was more of a place to get groceries and eat out. We stayed at Motel6 for one night to celebrate our 45th anniversary and to go to a show the the lounge beside the motel.

A working town with limited events or attractions for longer stay. Town while clean and somewhat safe is getting old. No theme apparent for tourists. Simply good location for stay overnight between Calgary or Banff if going west of for travelers going further eat or south. Dominated by large processing plant for accomodations and services like schools and hospital. Once yearly hosts a rodeo.
I appreciated the fact that the desk clerck was willing to wait for me (I arrived late with some delay).
I liked the minifridge, the proximity to the main street with some restaurants options (though there are not this many in the whole town) as well as gas stations.
The main street allows to quickly exit/enter the trans-Canada highway.
Brooks is 40-50 minutes away from the Dinosaur provincial park which is worth a visit (1-2 days at least).
The hotel was just off the Trans Canada and was also next to a gas station.
IT was not close to the centre of town for good food although there was a Denny's across the parking lot.
Staff was great friendly and helpful. Facilities were good and spotless.
Breakfast the next AM was great and started at 6AM so we could get an early start.
highly recommended for a stopover.
Really clean and cheery room. Very quiet, which was great because the walls are thin. Staff was super-friendly and very welcoming to my dog. I stay at Motel 6 in the US because they are so pet-friendly and the rooms are modern and clean. So happy to find the same in Brooks.
Breakfast was good, although there was a separate menu for hotel guests with only four choices. The wifi was a little slow and would not allow graphics through. The 4K TV was nice but had a bit of trouble getting it going properly but was aided by friendly dtaff.
Very nice staff. Kids love the swimming pool, waterslide, game room and self make chocolate waffles for breakfast. Clean and comfortable room with mini fridge and microwave. Easy travel to either Dinosaur provincial park or kinbrook Island.
The breakfast was great, very nice atmosphere as well. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall, the hotel was very welcoming, they even provide a little snack upon arrival - nice touch. I would definitely stay at they hotel again.
March 12, 2022 is our first day working at the vital stream across the street and it’s very efficient for us to stayed in this hotel but I was wondering if we can give some discount every time we stayed in this property.
The rooms are all updated and beautiful. So clean and comfy. Can’t beat the price. Shout out to Riley who checked us in when we arrived. So friendly and helpful. A wonderful ambassador for the hotel.
Excellent management and staff; very friendly and accommodating. Very generous sized room/suite. Comfortable bed. Very convenient to everything Brooks has to offer.
The staff was excellent The room was clean especially liked the fact it had a Bar and Restaurant attached to the Hotel was nice to get out and socialize
