The restaurant is also top notch, with a good variety menu, great service, and large portions. There is also a pool, hot tub, sauna and workout room. The pub also seems to be a big hit. It also offers pubgrub until 2 a.m. during peak tourist season which is virtually unheard of in rural areas. There is a new performing arts building across the street which highlights dome outstanding talent and cultural events.

We very much enjoyed the hiking trails at the end of the village. Our host generously provided us with a map of the available trails. The grocery store in Cow Head has a good selection of items.
