Although certainly cozy, the loft has everything you need for a short stay, including an excellent entertainment system, well-stocked kitchen, and an adorable little table to eat at. We didn't need air conditioning on our stay, but this is probably one of the few places on the Sunshine Coast where you'll find it in case your visit coincides with a hot spell. Most importantly, the hosts go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, and they went the extra mile when we left a few items behind, holding on to them until we returned a few days later!

Location was good, beautiful ocean walk close by. Restaurant on site was friendly, kung pao chicken delicious, with a great view of the Salish Sea, right across to Vancouver Island. Close to shops.

Gibson has a nice water front with shops and restaurants. Restaurants either were not open or closed early such as 3pm.
Some shops were not open either. We were there on a Monday, Tuesday and left Wednesday morning. It’s small so not a lot to do.

The Cedars Inn was very good value.
The Cedars Inn was very good value. Accommodations were clean, comfortable and felt safe, and the receptionist was very kind and gracious. The lighting in the room could be improved a bit, and there was temperature control available for guest adjustment if one chose.
I spent time with relatives who took me on a tour of the docks in Gibsons and bays up along the coast.
We ate at the Japanese restaurant next door. Excellent!

We were only there for a 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration with friends. Did minimal sightseeing in Gibsons, but some on the day of arrival. Lots to see and do if you have the time and inclination. Good eating places in both Lower and Upper Gibsons.

Gibson's Hotel is not on the mainland as advertised on this site. When we arrived where we thought the hotel was. It was not there. We contacted the hotel to find out that we had to go by ferry to get there. Therefore we were not able to get to this hotel. We ended up having to find another hotel at the last minute at 10 p.m. at night. I was charged anyways for the room. The hotel was not sympathetic at all. This website has false advetising. Very upsetting.

Very charming town. Beautiful scenery. Walked to the Blackfish pun nearby for dinner and HOLY MOLEY!!! Utterly fantastic meals, the house special beer was nice, and although a bit pricey, totally worth it.

Gibsons and Sechelt are both very scenic towns with many options for those who love spending time in nature, and many options for eating out - the ferry service was a little frustrating with long waits
the hotel was very well situated near shopping strip mall and other outlets as well as restaurants. Staff were friendly and accommodating in correcting some deficiencies (see below). The well fenced (private) outdoor pool was so refreshing after some very warm days of sightseeing. And there were no other people but us from 8:00pm to 10:00Pm. The sky and stars were so beautiful with so little light from the small town. The beds were very comfortable and the room was not crowded with 2 queen beds. Linen was immaculate.
The accommodation was just perfect. But what turned this from a holiday apartment into a holiday home was the hosts. They settled me in, helped me get my bearings and made introductions. Nothing was too much trouble and they genuinely wanted to make sure I was getting on just fine.
I saw some people on here complain about some of the equipment being dated. Not at all. In fact it was bonus of the place for me to see so much original equipment and features. Everything had been looked after so well.
We had 2 rooms, on 1st & 2nd floors. Both appeared to have been recently renovated so assume whole hotel has been. Large clean rooms, one had a small kitchenette which was well equipped, other room had microwave/mini fridge. Comfortable beds, great shampoo/conditioner (not cheap no name brand), quiet. Indoor pool was great for the kids and there was a sauna which was nice to use after being in the water. Small gym adjacent to pool. Very nice courtyard complete with goldfish pool.
We loved Caprice! I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone exploring the Sunshine Coast in their own car. It is close to Gibsons Landing and the main shopping area on Gibsons Way. The grounds are delightful with a lovely lawn, views over the Salich Sea and a courtyard with Hot tub and Swimming pool. Jeanette is very accommodating and friendly and ensures that all your needs are met and has excellent recommendations.
Nicely decorated basement suite with beautiful garden outside- two sitting areas, one with propane fireplace, for outside eating; hot-tub. Location, location, location.... block from the public market and the waterfront pathway to the public wharf (10 minutes walk); 10 minutes walk to lower Gibsons and shops. Karen and Chris were friendly and welcoming and Zoey, their small poodle, was delightful! Wonderfully comfortable bed!
A beautiful old house just across from the ocean just outside of Gibsons. We stayed in one of the third floor penthouse suites, which are large, airy and very comfortable with a tiny deck and view of the sea across the road (access is on private property though, but there are other paths to access the water). Restaurant on site is open for dinner for the latter part of the week.
Very clean and comfortable. There are currently no breakfasts provided due to Covid, but an excellent bakery cafe, "Sheer Bliss," is a half-block away! The hotel has a nice garden with a pond and fish. There are also many nice, long walking trails in the forest behind the hotel! The pool is small, but the hotel is beside a public indoor pool with hot tubs!
Super cute space. Loft bed area was super cool. Walking distance to SO MANY great restaurants and views. Neat mirrors all around made the space feel larger than it was.
Hot tub was super lovely as well.
Casey and Lorraine were super friendly, and left some amazing touches that made our anniversary trip even more memorable.
Very well equipped. Karen has worked hard to make sure all the little extras are there. Hot tub and grounds were lovely. Karen’s suggestions for walks, restaurants etc. were very helpful. Gibsons is a beautiful town - we could easily have spent more time there. The apartment is close to the marina, restaurants and shops.
Super clean room & well maintained although bathroom needs upgrading. Appears owners & staff take pride in their establishment. So refreshing. Location was great, complimentary Tim Hortons breakfast, a bonus, & very comfortable bed. Free parking near the building.
Great family hotel, with very clean rooms, well-maintained pool, and social areas. Erika and the rest of the staff were amazing and worked as much as they could to enjoy our family holidays. Thank you, Erika! my kids loved it too! Will go back for sure!
This was by far the best host/accommodation we have stayed in yet. All the small details in the this place make it so special from the bathroom to the garden there is so much to look at! Lorraine was a super host and made us feel right at home.
The location is slightly outside of town but that suited us perfectly. The gardens are so beautiful and very quiet - a great little oasis in Gibsons! The room was comfortable. The furniture is a bit dated but adds to the charm of the spot.
Great location. 30 minute walk from shops. 5 minutes in the car. Bus stop near the closest end of the street.
Very quiet neighbourhood A really rural feel without being isolated.
