The Kawartha Lakes is a tourist area.

The Kawartha Lakes is a tourist area. If you own a yacht, motor boat, canoe, or bicycle, there are plenty of opportunities to get out in nature. The towns of Bobcaygeon and Buckhorn have plenty of places to eat and shop. Both are walkable and, in season, bustling. The folks you encounter on the street and in the commercial venues are friendly and helpful. If you wanted to get away from it all and put your feet up, this region provides the environment. In fact, this is cottage country and folks from the city like to escape to the relaxed pace and quiet. This review was written in July. I cannot hold forth on the Kawarthas when the snow falls.
