Going to both the Parks Canada site and Norstead Viking Village were excellent and should each be done. We found the people at Norstead were more accommodating and there were more taking on their roles.

National Historic sites and Norstead were great.
National Historic sites and Norstead were great. The Norsemen Restaurant was an absolute treat, the staff were excellent, the view was spectacular and the art was beautiful. Finally, the food was delicious and such an incredible find - if you are sitting on the fence about visiting L’anse Aux Meadows, the Norseman would make the difference.

The boat replica that they used to prove that the trip from Greenland to Lan’s Aux Meadows was unreal. What a trip that must have been when the Vikings did it. I loved the Viking knitting. The people there were very interesting and informative to talk to.
