This was a one night stay, travelling Ontario to PEI. It was clean, comfortable, staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent, lots of options, both hot and cold. (Breakfast was included in our room price.)There was no problem finding the hotel. And there is a St Hubert close by for supper, and also a Subway if just looking for something quick.

The Gite is on a highway between L'Isle-Verte and Trois Pistoles. We chose to go to Trois Pistoles for dinner. Le Biarritz was a great choice. The service was friendly and and the food was excellent. Service was a bit slow but understandable given that the restaurant was full. One surprise was that they do not serve alcohol so we had to briefly leave to go to a nearby grocery store to buy some wine to accompany our meal. This should have been mentioned earlier in the day when we visited the site to make the reservation. The view out over the St Lawrence and the local harbour was delightful with a nice sunset. We arrived in the afternoon and departed early the next morning so did no sightseeing though we did enjoy some time in the charming Trois Pistoles. Our host made a recommendation of a route to the Maritime provinces other than the Trans-Canada and we were pleased with the result.
