Nipawin is a fantastic little town. The area offers great fishing, golfing, boating and scenic walks. The people for the most part are friendly. The town is small but offers a wide variety of restaurants with fantastic food. Great vacation destination.

Nipawin is a lovely little community, perfect for young families and retirees alike. While Saskatchewan is known for its flat landscape, the river, woods, and walking trails make Nipawin far from "boring."

It is a busy town with a number of great eating establishments, art gallery, great selection at the local pharmacy. In summer, there are lovely drives all around. The bridge is a great, unique feature.

Nipawin is a sleepy little town with very little going on just as the locals like it I guess. Unless you are into fishing, hunting or like boating or golfing and don't mind lots of insects annoying you, forget it. That being said, Nipawin has been graced with The Dam Smokehouse restaurant which serves the best BBQ this side of Texas, Missouri and the Carolinas! If nothing else, you MUST try their beef brisket which is amazing. The charming rustic decor, locally brewed craft beers and the fact they don't serve wine but you can bring your own bottle for a reasonable corkage fee are all a plus. I have tried many places such as this in the US and Canada but The Dam Smokehouse's quality, portion size and value beats them all, hands down!
