We loved the kitchen. We cooked and ate to our heart's desire. The kitchen has everything you would need including a large dining table and plenty of counter space for preparation. The large kitchen table doubled as our games space in the evening. Charming old house with quirks of a crooked kitchen floor. Great location.The beds were very comfortable. The rooms tastefully decorated.

I have been coming to Port Elgin for years because of the beach and atmosphere. We ate our for all meals and we were surprised by the poor service and attitude of the restaurant staff. I wanted to believe it was because of Covid but to be honest the restaurants were not busy.

Beautiful Town, great beaches. Beware of Geese droppings on paths and the Seagulls can be brutal- don’t feed them.Great trails . Paths along Lake are second to none. Sunsets are unbelievable. A couple of blocks of the main street strip are nice, but we wish we had driven 10 more kms and stayed at/visited the lovely town of Southhampton. Port Elgin beach is being rebuilt so it is really not worth visiting. Go 10 kms up and visit the Southhampton beach instead

City was great!
City was great! Many options of restaurants and coffee shops. Walmart, Dollorama and Rexal in the Main Street. McDonald’s and Tim Hortons also in the Main Street. The beach was great. Clean water and not crowded. I really liked Port Elgin. I will be back for sure.ElaineCanada
