Adorable cabins. Nicely and nearly furnished. We thought there might be a lot of road noise, but it was fine.

I loved the views of Port Hardy, but shopping in the Mall was not a great , the toilet situation was not a good experience, I would say a young person aprox 20 to 25 yrs old was in the toilet for about 1/2hr, scary as I think he was using drugs,
There were several of us waiting to use the facility

Need a car to get around.
Need a car to get around. Book tours etc before you go as very little information or advertising when you get there. We maybe should have done this and we would have found something to do!. There are walking trails but not very well advertsied. Beautiful untouched and natural scenery around that area. Telegraph Cove is a must.. Not many places to eat and very few shops.

Port Hardy is a beautiful city, but not many options for coffee shops or places to stop in for a drink other that the restaurants in the hotels. Lots of places to explore and walking trails by the Harbour and met some locals fishing off the pier by the Marina. If one brought their fishing rods, this would be a nice way to spend some time. I could have easily stayed 2-3 nights here but it's generally used as a hub for Cape Scott or BC Ferries heading up the Inside Passage. The nature here is next to none and lots of food options in the Save on Foods for those wanting to eat in. There is a BC Liquor store which has everything else you might need.

Port Hardy is a small town surrounded by nature.
Port Hardy is a small town surrounded by nature. If you enjoy beach walks, hiking, biking, boating or camping it is a great base to explore the outdoors. The North Island is absolutely beautiful and full of wildlife. Port Hardy has a great coffee shop, Cafe Guido, great bookstore with a selection of local authors - Booknook, and a great little local market Copper and Kelp, plus a good restaurant at Kwa’lilas Hotel.

A great little quiet town with trails nearby and a good place to access the NW tip of the island from. It's beautiful and we could see wildlife right out our window or as we walked along the boardwalk.

Its a great place to go see wildlife (bears crossing the road, great whale watching available), go hiking and do wilderness excursions but there is very little to do in town itself with particularly limited options for keeping younger kids entertained. There is a nice sandy beach on the Port Rupert side but it can get windy.
Newest hotel in town, love the details like the bathroom tiles texture, gives a very nature oasis feel. Good quality shampoo and conditioner provided, love the indigenous accents, world class. Continental breakfast is good quality too, I was able to take my coffee in to go cup. Very central port Hardy location, walking distance to amenities.
Staff was very friendly/helpful.
Room was clean. We had a partial view of the water, which was nice. It was quiet.
Location of hotel was great--close to town and to the ferry. A takeway, bagged light breakfast (no eating in the lobby!) and coffee was provided to all those catching that very early morning ferry.
Very disappointed with the breakfast which was included in the rate. The hotel provided a buffet breakfast but that was not offered to us. We got a pre packed brown paper bag from the fridge with yoghurt, a piece of fruit and a hard boiled egg. No toast, spreads or cereal.
We had an excellent stay on July 17. The rooms were even nicer than we thought. Beds were very comfy and bathrooms super clean. The staff in the hotel and restaurant were fantastic. Friendly, helpful and welcoming. We will be back to stay again for sure. Thank you!
I loved the location of the property. Its right between the town of Port Hardy and the ferry terminal.. Either way was less than 10 mins, driving. Although it’s next to the highway, it was so quiet and peaceful. The property was very clean and obviously well kept.
The lady who booked us in was pleasant and kind. We appreciated her waiting to book us in. We left before the breakfast so we could catch the Port Hardy ferry.
The sheets were linen I think and I felt like royalty!!
A quiet, restful night.
Lovely cabin. Immaculate and full of character.
Well designed use of space with a kitchenette even! The grounds border and Estuary and Port Hardy Bay. Close to all amenities yet not in the thick of things. Nature's beauty abounds.
We enjoyed our stay at Glen Lyon Inn. The hotel is right on the water in our room, had a lovely balcony overlooking the inlet. The attached bar and restaurant were convenient and great places for dinner and breakfast.
The view was nice, beds were ok. Hotel was quiet, gave me late check out no questions asked. Coffee/tea area accessible all day was a bonus, liquor store across the parking lot was convenient.
Good value, clean, older hotel that offers a nice breakfast. Lots of towels and nice bedding. Bed is comfortable. Liquor store onsite. Hotel is located right beside Port Hardy Airport.
Clean room. Hot water. Comfy bed. Restaurant on site. Little cafe in lobby for coffee and breakfast in the morning. Walking distance to all of downtown Port Hardy.
