Great stay for our family of 7, 3 generations, in the top 3 bedroom suite. Fully equipped kitchen, large rooms, beautiful deck over looking the ocean. We loved the hanging king size bed/day bed on the deck, and we stay in it for hours reading/web surfing listing to the ocean waves.
1 block away from a fantastic beach with large stretch of sand during low tide. Great swimming spot.
Mr. Higgins / Rob is warm, courteous, goes out of his way to accommodate us. Our youngest enjoyed playing with the dog and feeding the fish and cats.
Laundry on site can be used by guests. This is our second year. Love this inn for our family.

We loved everything about this beautiful home. Not only does it have a lovely piano that greets you as you open the door, the bed is comfortable and the layout and amenities are perfect! Marg and Grant are incredibly thoughtful and kind hosts who baked us the most delicious cookies.

Powell River is an amazing place if you are a lover of the outdoors. While the town itself has all the amenities you want from garages to large grocery stores, a few restaurants and some beaches, the best of this part of BC's lower mainland only accessible by ferry or private plane is the scenic coastline, the shorefront, the parks, and the wildlife.

Powell River is great if you like to get away from the fast pace city life. There is very little traffic! There are lots of different beaches to explore. There are also hiking trails in the woods. On our drive to Lund we saw 2 different bears by the side of the road. Then when we went to Gibsons Beach on another day we saw 2 bears again. We also saw soaring bald eagles. There are nice restaurants in town. But we preferred to cook our own food.
Willingdon Beach has a great playground for kids.

Inland Lake was awesome.
Inland Lake was awesome. You need about 6 km drive off road, bou you will not regret the drive. Walking around the lake is not something to be missed. Take food with you and enjoy a relaxed meal after a good swim in the lake!

Powell River is a beautiful, well-kept place to visit.
Powell River is a beautiful, well-kept place to visit. We have enjoyed the Historical Tour a lot. Another highlight, while waiting for the ferry was a walk to Costa de Sol Latin Cuisine where we had a wonderful outdoor lunch. There are great ocean views from many many places! We especially enjoyed the ferry trip from Saltery Bay to Earl's Cove and back, though with it being a busy summer day, the wait was long and hot in the Bay waiting area. Powell River is a bit locked-in as there are ferries to take in both directions, but we kept busy exploring for our two days. Travel around and on to the rest of the Sunshine Coast is a bit easier/quicker in the off-season, but we still enjoyed P River A LOT!!

Lots of options for dining.
Lots of options for dining. We explored the area by jeep, looking for rec sites to camp at in the fall. Found lots of places. Inland Lake has a 13km walking trail around the entire lake, going to do that for sure. Locals mentioned the fishing is amazing in all the lakes

I was born and raised in Powell River, BC Their is so much to do and see one needs at least a month. Their is bed and breakfast here with amenities to die for. Hotels only one is good. Be careful for I was fooled. Many motels check them out first or ask locals. Fishing, hiking, canoeing, kayaking swimming, Very arts and crafts (many amazing talented people here) Great for outdoor sports . Still have the home town feel of friendly people that is hard to come by these days.
Powell River is a pleasant town on along the water as you go up the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia. We had a pleasant room with a view of the water and Marina and balcony.. Clean and pleasant room but a bit of noise from upstairs during the night. On site restaurant but we didn't try because it wasn't open. Breakfast was available at nearby restaurants (home town feel).. We enjoyed our stay and the hosts were great:)
Good location if you are taking the ferry across to Vancouver Island:)
The retro decor made this place very charming. The room was small, but comfortable. It had everything we needed. I like that the hotel has a DVD library and board games, which we would have checked out on a longer stay.
I also appreciated that the inn is cutting down on waste and offered a soap product, which can be used for hair and body.
Since we were there on a Monday we missed out on Edie Rae's breakfast buffet; the room rate was lower than on other days.
Free continental breakfast was fresh and plenty of choice ….. muffins/pastries/bagels/toast,Yogurt and fruit , tea, coffee, juice. Lots of room in the restaurant to find a table.
Rooms were very clean and beds super comfy. Small fridge and a keurig coffee machine in room too. We stayed here for our sons hockey tournament once before and came back because it’s a great hotel for the price/ location.
The rooms were clean and comfortable. The motel is the historic townsite of Powell River, constructed in the early 1910s. Walk around! The hosts were pleasant, the property well-maintained. There was no breakfast, but, I believe, all the rooms had a kitchenette, so I ate my own breakfast there. I would recommend this motel to anyone who happens to be in Powell River!
This suite was rented fir two couples. The separate bedrooms was all we were hoping for but this property provided so much more. A large, clean and modern suite with full kitchen and a balcony. I would confidently recommend this proprietor to friends and family. If I’m ever in Powell River this will be first choice on my list if I need accommodations.
The staff was very friendly and it was a budget stay. A little ways out of Powell River, but a good option for low cost if visiting Powell river. Little picnic benches outside and a camp ground next door. Def clean enough, plus included a little kitchenette. Very Retro - feels like the late 1900's but very doable for a few nights stay.
We had a comfortable room with coffee machine, fridge, air conditioning, a powerful shower, good wifi and AppleTV. Check-in was efficient. Beds are comfortable, it was quiet and we had a decent night's sleep. The hotel definitely has some charm and history. It's in a good location and overall served our needs quite well.
We liked the location, half way between Powell River and Lund and off the highway. It was quiet, well treed, with a nice view of the Salish Sea and Vancouver Island. The hosts were helpful (we needed help to figure out the shower tap) without being intrusive.
I stay here every time I am in Powell River! I love the view, the staff are always helpful and accommodating, the restaurant is great and I love the Pacific Point Market just up the hill for fresh food and the Deli!
Very clean with an ocean view and conveniently located near the ferry stop. The owner was very helpful and proud of her little motel. I recommend this to anyone who just needs a clean room without all the frills.
The Rodmay is a beautiful old gem. it was built in 1910 so be prepared for all that was 1910.
We loved our stay, it still is an elegant old hotel.
The owner was great , very responsive and helpful.
A lovely location, beautiful view overlooking the water. Grounds of the motel are beautifully landscaped. The owner / manager was very personable and helpful .
