View was great, but the unpainted concrete walls on the patio ruined it a bit. Parking is free and plenty of space. Kitchen is very clean and has enough pots and dishes.

The view was excellent and the accommodations were good for our family of 4 (with 2 adult children). The kitchen was in general well furnished. The beds were fine and there was adequate extra pillows and blankets. The shower was very good, very quick hot water with good pressure. The owner provided excellent directions and instructions for finding the chalet and finding the right parking place. The key lock box was good so we could arrive at any time.

Beautiful hilltop medieval town with so-so castle, great views, ambiance, a great cheese manufacturing tour, some lovely hotels, a Tibetan museum, and a museum of the works of the disturbed anti-human artist HR Giger. If you are into easy-moderate hiking, the Callier chocolate factory, or the nearby towns (Broc or Moreson) Mt., it will be worth more than one day.
I took a lovely hike to Broc on a trail found in the app, AllTrails. This was very worthwhile.

Although very small, Gruyères is one of the most beautiful places in the world! The fondue is not to be missed at any restaurant, and both the castle and the Giger museum and bar are a must for any visiter.

Great location, easy parking. The room was clean.
Great location, easy parking. The room was clean. The room was clearly the worst room in the hotel, facing the parking lot so it was extremely loud, when the cars were leaving. It seemed like the room had 0 sound isolation, we could hear everything. The staff was not very friendly and clearly did not care for us as guests, I needed to ask extra times for information about what to do and see around.
Not very good value for money in my opinion

Picturesque old town, pleasant castle, traditional cheese based menu’s available at multiple restaurants. Very pastoral and serene countryside with views of valleys and mountains. Helicopter sightseeing flight from Gruyere airport with SwissHelicopter was fantastic (defined packages available but can in-effect charter the helicopter by the minute to customise your experience... cheaper than you might expect!). The pilot was fabulous, and the views wonderful.

Gruyeres is a picturesque small village that can be toured in a morning or afternoon. We had a fondue dinner at Hotel de Ville and breakfast at Auberge de la Halle - both highly recommended. Parking is outside of the village and all is accessible on foot, equivalent in size to 2-3 large city blocks. Especially liked the castle and Giger bar (did not tour the museum).

We went to visit the HR Giger museum.
We went to visit the HR Giger museum. But the village is very popular with tourists from all over the world. Everyone was very friendly. I would imagine it’s a good base to visit other areas. We got a bus very easily to Moléson so getting around was simple. We only stayed one night so didn’t get to see lots. It’s a beautiful village but that does mean lots of tourists who come in time for lunch we found. I would imagine if you didn’t book a table for lunch you might wait. By dinner we found everyone had left so was much quieter. We stayed early October so might be different other time’s of the year
The hotel is literally in the heart of the old town Gruyère. We had a room on the top floor which was much larger than we anticipated with lots of space, a kettle, coffee, a television and a lovely little bathroom. Not to mention a beautiful view from the skylight windows. You can get breakfast at the attached restaurant for an additional cost in the morning which is also convenient if you’re passing through and have a long drive ahead of you through the alps!
The hotel is really in the heart of the town. It has a very nice vibe, and we particularly enjoyed the care of the staff to make our stay as good as possible. For example, we were relaxing at their lounge and one of the staff came and lit up the fire in the fireplace - to offer us a much warmer atmosphere. The breakfast has an excellent buffet with high-quality products.
What a charming little town! As if we flew back in time a few hundred years. We were so happy that we visited, the castle on the top of the hill is also worth the climb. We all loved the cheese fondue they served. If you arrive by car, be prepared that there are only paid car parks before the town gate and that you need to walk a few hundred metres to reach the hotel.
The location was incredible; so beautiful! lt is within the town fortified by castle walls and close to both the castle and the Maison de Gruyères. The Maison Cailler was only an hour walk away. The room was also very close to some beautiful nature views. Chantal was very welcoming and accomodating and speaks English well
Pretty hotel, as if in a post card. Being able to stroll in the center of the medieval town late in the evening and early in the morning were special treats. Our room was small but lovely, extremely clean and appropriate for an overnight stay in the medieval town of Gruyere. Staff was very welcoming.
Very nice hotel in the middle of the historical city. Very comfortable rooms. The “family” room that my sister stayed with her husband and two small children was enormous and had a view to the mountains whereas my parents’ room had a view to the city center. Great place to stay. Totally recommended!
The Hotel location is brilliant in the heart of Gruyeres, just one minute from the Castle and most famous attractions. The staff are very friendly specially Julia the manager at the Reception and bookings she was super friendly, helpful and informative. The food is so good (Their pizza is amazing)
Great location within the very scenic village of Gruyeres. Great breakfast with excellent freshly prepared food. Very nice views over the Gruyeres castle and the beautiful nature around.
there is a brand new conference center and wellness that we did not try out.
The hotel has its own parking spaces, which is a huge plus given the location and size of the town. Breakfast buffet was excellent. The rooms have a cosy, rural Swiss charm. Nice view to the mountains.
The on site restaurant is a big bonus.
We loved the location right in the middle of the old town with beautiful scenery out of every window. The rooms had old wooden beams and the bed was a nice queen size. Each room had a separate bathroom with a nice Swiss-made hair dryer.
Hotel is very quaint and rooms have basic amenities. Views and location were the best. Convenient parking. Very comfortable beds and typical Swiss high quality of cleanliness which to me are the two most important things in a hotel.
The hotel was very charming. The staff was extremely attentive. I also learned they make the croissants from scratch which were delicious. The views from the restaurant are amazing. A great place if you are traveling solo!
The hotel is located in the historic center of Gruyeres. The hotel has a restaurant where guests can eat inside, not outside as in other restaurants (coronavirus restrictions ....).
