This is a great hotel. Far better than a 2 star as its rated. The fire was lit for us at night to sit in the cosy inviting lounge area. The room was clean and beds comfortable. An electric jug is supplied with tea/coffee which was very welcomed at the end of a busy day sightseeing. Supermarket is only a few minutes away. The breakfast supplied is great. Friendly staff throughout the whole hotel. Train station is within easy walking distance also. We loved watching the snow fall from our patio area on the mountain and streets. We would stay here again and recommend to others visiting Interlaken.

Unterseen and Interlaken have a lot to offer. We have spend majority of our time outdoors, enjoying nature. The ski resorts around Unterseen are amazing and within just 30 minutes you are on the slopes but without spending a fortune of money for a hotel, as it is usually the case when staying at a mountain resort.JJanSwitzerland - 10Scored 10

Stunning scenery in the mountains nearby. World class!!! So happy to have come. Better weather would have helped. Recommend Hüsi Biergarten heartily. Open and serving very late. Terrific staff. Good food. Good rates. Great, healthy salads too.

Though there's comment that host is not prompt in response but I'm grateful to get his/her response and pretty prompt in solving some of our issues: 1) allowing us to open door to drop our luggage as we arrived too early in the morning (though we are thoroughly shocked by what we see cos it have not be clean up) 2) resolving the socket issue as someone prior has damaged it

The shared toilet and shower isn’t ideal but we knew that we would have to share. But it was dirty. We had a sink in our room and washed from that and cleaned it ourselves. Great location though! Oh and the bar next door is really loud you won’t get any sleep. But again we saw the reviews knew what to expect. We only booked as booking.com cancelled our hotel we booked months ago 2 days before we got there.

Other than that, the female landlord didn’t accept the card payment or Booking payment, she required to pay with bank transfer or cash which is really unexpected. After driving for hours, it took us much longer to reach the beautiful town of Interlaken, and the host stayed up late and waited for us. The apartment, in the center of the town, was clean, safe and very accessible to shops and dining. The entire experience was unforgettable and we would definitely stay here again!!!

The kitchen facilities (in the same room) were complete, including microwave, stove, oven, kettle, toaster, salt, ... The landlady was very kind and helpful.
