We spent one night here in late March, chosen because it is literally a 10-minute walk from the airport and advertised a 24-hour front desk. We arrived well after midnight and were cheerfully greeted by a young gentleman who showed us to our room. The hotel is modern and the air-conditioning in the room was most welcome, as was the generously late check-out time that allowed us to sleep in after our late arrival. The breakfast was adequate, wifi was good, and the bed very comfortable.

I LOVED it!! It’s very simplistic. A hotel footsteps from the beach. Staff is super friendly, in a genuine way. As a gringo I could relax and let my guard down with nobody trying to hustle me here— just genuine local folks providing me with all the services required for a great vacation!! Everything is priced at fair local rates, so you don’t need to barter or worry— it’s all good.
Alejandro is a GREAT host and all the staff are super chill and helpful. The staff really enhanced my experience just by being themselves.
The rooms are concrete with high ceilings which keeps it cool, and the balconies have great views, especially if you are facing the ocean. All you really need is a nice clean bedsheet, comfy pillows, ceiling fan, and a few towels— and that is what is a provided. There’s a few furnishings like bench, nightstands, etc. I loved how simple it is. The esthetic brought me clarity.
The location rules. It’s in the tranquil Zona Norte, away from the tourist traps of downtown. This is where Columbians come to vacation and the beaches are ALIVE with local spirit.
You can wander the beaches barefoot and swim, it’s all good. So lovely.
Downtown is a 50 peso taxi ride away ($14 US) for all your tourism and nightlife needs.
There’s some fun tours I did. The mangrove fisherman is chill, and Alejandro set me up with a afternoon trip to the volcano mud pit which was very memorable and healthy.
The breakfast is quite nice with fruits, pan, and scrambled eggs. I liked the little beachside kitchen there, and there is fine dining in El Centro if you want it.
It’s a friendly environment, the possibility to socialize is there. I was fortunate to meet some friends.
There were yoga classes, live Colombian drumming, zumba, and occasional DJs. Loved it!!
