Villas Jacquelina, hotel in Quepos

Hotel Villas Jacquelina is a eco-friendly boutique hotel in Quepos featuring mountainous views, a pool, free WiFi, and a shared kitchen. Local and International breakfasts served daily.

Our family really enjoyed our stay at Villa Jacquelina and would definitely stay there again. We had room with three beds and a private bathroom that worked our very well for our family of 4. The room was very clean. We really loved the outdoor terrace area near the common kitchen (the breakfast was the best out of 5 hotels that we stayed at in Costa Rica) and found everyone to be super hospitable. The pool was cute and our favorite part was the breath breath work and yoga classes that took place on the terrace.

Everything was in perfect shape -- looked newly renovated -- and perfectly clean. The kitchen was great. Large shower (with hot water!) was excellent. Loved the tile decor. Bed was very comfortable. I was especially glad for the ceiling fan and A/C, since it was about 95 degrees F outside!

Quepos is a good central location from which to do all manner of activities. I love the farmers market on Friday PM/Saturday AM. Scuba diving is just okay as the visibility even in the dry season is limited. Check out the farm tour at Villa Vanilla (they can pick up from Quepos if you don't have a car) and the bus to Manuel Antonio Park (worth the hype but buy your tickets online before you go) and all the attractions along the way is only 380 colones.

Quepos is a tourist trap, all designed around Manuel Antonio national park. The hard sell is tough bbbuuutt the beauty of the rainforest is amazing. A weekend in this tiny place is easily enough, I would not recommend staying longer.

We stayed outside of Quepos which I would recommend.

We stayed outside of Quepos which I would recommend. Quepos is an authentic town to shop and eat at. We loved walking around to explore and eat. We liked the market for the shopping and the coffee shop! We were able to walk around Quepos very easily and get back to the bus downtown no problem.

The city is not big, quite busy, there are a few restaurants (some crazy expensive) and shops. Manuel Antonio Park, on the other hand, is completely overrated. I haven't seen such a crowded place in all of Costa Rica! I am disappointed and angry that I had to travel such a long way to get to an uninteresting place. I do not recommend!

The last point of our trip.

The last point of our trip. So many great things we have seen. But at the end of this incredible nature, do you have to experience this greed for money along the road to the national park? No! Just keep stopping in this country and be amazed. Quepos is not a MUST.

Quepos is super crowded and to pricy for what it offers! If you want to find some nice place nearby Quepos just have a short ride with a car and go south of Quepos to find some nice and lonely beaches!

What an amazing place and Teresa is soo lovely!! The Jungle Container is created with so much love and the common area is very cool and creative! The beds are comfortable, everything is just perfect :)) I'd love to see the place in a few months as they're building more rooms and it will be great! I like the fact that it's a little outside and you still can walk to the center of Quepos and the bus station to Manuel Antonio very fast! My favourite place in Costa Rica, thank you Teresa! ♡

It was our second stay during the Costa Rica journey. The apartment is very clean, tidy and comfortable. The owner is very helpful and very respectful. She gave us enough space and was very friendly. The check in was very easy and at the check out she helped us with the taxi. Although it is a share bathroom it was very clean and the shower worked very well. We can highly recommend this beautiful spot for your stay in Quepos.

La Foresta was a beautiful place to stay! We e saw so much wildlife and loved the trails out back of the hotel. We say monkeys and toucans from our breakfast table! Staff were very friendly and food was delish!! We stayed in the two bedroom villa and it was wonderful to have the kitchen and small deck area. they also run a shuttle to the National park and beach throughout the day. This is super convenient!

The host for this room is a really sweet guy. I booked this place last minute and the room was clean and ready upon arrival. I liked the stone bathtub and how close it was to Quepos. The host was also very helpful in trying to help me find transportation to my next destination. I appreciated how attentive he was to my needs during my stay especially as a solo traveler. His help really put me at ease.

This was a real surprise. Such a great experience. William and his family open the doors and give you the best of Costa Rica. Minutes to everything in Quepos and Manuel Antonio. Seconds to the city center. Safe and engaging. Stay with these folks, and a day longer than necessary. If I’m ever passing thru again I would always choose Casa Quepos. They are Pura Vida.

This apartment is right by Manuel Antonio National Park and a short walk to the beach. Tons of restaurants and grocery stores right there as well. Saw monkeys from the balcony multiple days as well as on the walk to the beach. woke up to the sound of birds and howler monkeys. Gonzalo was super friendly and they cleaned the apartment every other day.

Miguel and Pilar and their son Matias were great to interact enough to make it a very personable stay, but certainly allowed me and the other guests our solitude and relaxation. Right on the beach! Almost nobody on the beach so a very quiet and tranquilo experience. This is definitely not a touristy location, so plan to feel a part of Tico culture.

Nice spacious room but it was located next to the swimming pool where is loud music on until 10pm so if you need to have a rest or go to sleep earlier that’s not the right place to go. Unfortunately there was no warm water in the bathroom. The hotel is located a 10 minute drive from Quepos. We enjoyed the food - was really tasty.
