Loved sitting out by the pool in the morning watching the howler monkeys in the trees. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were basic but had air conditioning and nice murals on the wall.

Private room was very comfortable, close to the pool, and away from the crowds. The food was good, just a bit overpriced. I went to El Avión across the street a lot which was open early and cheaper than the hostel food. The party was very fun and seemed to attract a lot of people. Definitely stay here if you want nightlife. ATM and supermarket are about a 10-min walk.
