The location is remote, but that's what I went for. I wanted to relax and get away from daily life. The property is gorgeous and has hammocks throughout to read and relax in. I had a little kitchenette with all the necessary utensils and used it for some snack preparation. You can easily order food from some nearby restaurants and they'll bring it to your door. I also had the hotel breakfast delivered to my room, and it was so nice to have a warm and fresh breakfast that I didn't have to prepare. The staff were great and accommodated me showing up a little early and let me into my room. I was given a pipa upon arrival and that was a nice and unexpected treat. Everything is clean and as you'd expect! I stayed in the wooden house and I'll most certainly return.

We chose to stay a night here on our way to Monteverde to break up the long drive. It wasn't exactly on the way, but we did not want to drive the roads into Monteverde at night, and the pictures of this place seemed like it would be worth the stop. It was! The hotel and its grounds were peaceful and beautiful. We had a fantastic dinner, then were allowed to relax in their jacuzzi tub slightly after it was supposed to closed, as there were not many other guests and we promised to be quiet. Our rooms overlooking the pool were private, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Breakfast in the morning was also great.

Loved every bit of it, wished I stayed longer. The local dog Mia (?) was the highlight, followed me to dinner to the neighboring ranch, walked me back. What an angel, definitely will help with your puppy fix, there are two on the property. Came in Feb, did not have 4x4 and no issues, close to Monte Verde entrance. Would definitely stay again and recommend!
