This wonderful place is located in a quiet mountain village. It features a cozy cottage equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The hosts are polite, responsive, and welcoming. Even if you arrive exhausted and starving after biking many kilometers through the mountains, they will effortlessly arrange a magnificent dinner for you in a nearby village. We were very pleased to stay here.
Set amid a blossomed garden with BBQ facilities, Astrofegia Apartments Near The Sea is located in Agia Marina Chrysochous, within 164 feet from the sandy beach.

I loved staying in the self-contained studio on the rooftop of the building. It felt intimate. I also had the whole rooftop to myself, so I had total privacy. Being at the top also meant I had a good view of the sea and the mountains (and lightning and rainbows!).
.
The studio was a prefabricated container, so I could feel and listen to the rain and the wind in a way that I wouldn't have had I stayed in an apartment.
.
I appreciated the wine, snacks, coffee, tea, milk and sugar that were left for me on the studio table as a welcome, as well as the bottled water in the fridge. There was also a large bowl of lovely tangerines left for me on the table which I really appreciated. It lasted me some days.
.
I had everything I needed in the studio. It was also clean. Small space but everything had been thought of and everything fit.
.
The host is friendly with a kind and gentle demeanour.
.
I'm so grateful (and blessed) that this place was home for three weeks. I was at peace here. Pure solitude. (The sea was also a stone's throw away and I could hear it every day.)
.
I hope to return one day.

Kato Pyrgos is a very quiet place on the north west coast of Cyprus, not easily accessible without a car.
We went in September which is still holiday season, but you wouldn't know it! Most visitors here seem to be people from Nicosia and Limassol who come for the weekend, so if you want a quieter time go during the working week. It is a great place for a short break, but a week is probably too much.
We ate in Grape by the sea, where we watched the sun go down while eating good quality food. On our second night we ate at the Tylos Hotel and Restauarant, this has an extensive menu, including fresh fish choices, and is also right on the seafront, near the main sandy beach.
Kato Pyrgos is essentially a one street village, but the street is longer than it seems, so if you are going from one end to the other, take the car.

Very safe location. Very friendly owners. Very clean.
Very safe location. Very friendly owners. Very clean. Need a car though to get to the sea and village. Recommend "Grape" bar and eatery. Omega beach bar (as you enter the town) is the best place to go for a swim. This is a free sandy beach but with a good bar. Be aware that you can't take a hire car over the border into the Turkish sector.

Every minute of my stay was enjoyable and relaxing.
Every minute of my stay was enjoyable and relaxing. Hotel's location is superb: on the clean beach of lovely isolated bay with crystal-clear water and fantastic views. My balcony practically hanged over the water! Hotel is stylishly furnished, rooms are very clean, wi-fi is secured and stable. Breakfasts are very good, dinners in hotel's restaurant are delicious! Cyprus coffee is beyond description! Mmmm... :) Special thanks to hotel's owners and staff: they are treating their guests like they are part of their family. Thank you guys! All this combined made my vacation unforgettable. I would recommend E.J. Pyrgos Bay Hotel to evebody who wants to visit this coast of Cyprus! You will not regret it!

We had a short break before going to Alkamas. The hotel was in a superb location overlooking the beach.
We visited a Nature Park, sad that it isn't an organised affair within Kato Pyrgos especially for children.

I ate in 3 restaurants while there and rate each a 10.
I ate in 3 restaurants while there and rate each a 10. Great prices and great food. I didn't see or hear one lunatic on a motorcycle racing around the town. After 9 pm you can hear a pin drop. The whole place is a bit cut off from the modern world as you must drive over miles of mountains to get to the beautiful little piece of God's Country that He kept for Himself. It is worth seeing if you want to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of the way things used to be. Im going back.......
