Lovely place with nice main square and city center with decent restaurants. Main place to visit is the monastery and an old wooden church. It is close to Adršpach and great places for hiking and climbing. In Broumov there is a nice pet shelter (for dogs and cats).malina - 10Scored 10

The landscape around Broumov (both in CZ and PL) is packed with picturesque sandstone formations surrounding really pleasant cultural landscape. As it has been a periphery for a long time, the towns and villages have a well preserved historical identity. Adršpach and Hejsovina (that might be REALLY crowded at times) aside, the place is not overcrowded by visitors. Highly suggestible. Depending on where you come from, its best to get to some village/ town on rail by private car, most of the nice places are accessible by local trains and/or busses.

Nice market. A very interesting Benedictine monastery. I recommend guided tours (especially the baroque church and library). It is worth visiting the oldest wooden cemetery church in the Czech Republic. The restaurant next to the church you can have a good meal at a good price.

Also I liked the lady-owner because she was very helpful, nice and she made our stay easier than it would have been without her. The staff of the hotel was also very nice. Breakfasts were great, there were varieties of food so don`t worry you wouldn`t choose. The location was great, as it is located right next to the main square, there’s plenty of parking spaces available (free on weekends!), plus the apartment (and the pub downstairs) are pet-friendly!
