"Quaint" and "charming" are good adjectives for this Bavarian town on a small river. Very quiet, convenient to Bayreuth and the opera festival (about 20 minutes by car). A few restaurants, pharmacy and supermarket all within 5 minutes.

We spent two nights at Pension Hofer on our way to France and back. The owner was very accommodating, as we were traveling with a dog, and gave us a very large room on the top floor. Breakfast was very good and served in a cozy atmosphere. Parking right under the hotel. Additionally, the town is easily accessible on foot and very pleasant to explore.

You can see that the rooms were re-made with great attention to detail, and with high quality materials. However, it somehow is missing a one definite style, seems a bit of a mishmash. Also, not sure if hanging TV over a bathtub is that safe.
