Highly recommend Seehotel Muelhenhaus and Chorin area to those who seek forests and lakes. It is perfectly safe to walk around this area and enjoy the nature during daytime. People are very friendly too, even i am asian and speaks english only. Won’t be surprised when locals are greeting you and please say Hallo back. Be aware of the fairly long distance if walking from either Eberswalde or chorin train station to this hotel. You can rent a bike at Chorin station but not sure about Eberswalde. There is no staff or machine selling ticket at Chorin station. Either you buy your return ticket beforehand or on the return train when the ticket inspector approaches you. Nothing more needs to say, simply relax and experience something different from Berlin.

Beautiful and quiet surroundings in forest and close to Chorin cloister. Friendly and helpful personnel, excellent breakfast and very comfortable bed. The food in the restaurant was good, prices a bit high. Very nice place for walks and bike trips.
