We were a bit concerned as there were a huge group of students at the hotel (2 - 3 coaches) and they were quite noisy and dominated the lobby. No-one was at the front desk and we needed to phone. However they came promptly. Check in was easy and luckily our room was really quiet - thank you!. There was a good breakfast including a pancake machine.

The persons staffing the reception were helpful, eager to assist despite the fact that I don't speak German and they don't quite speak English. But they always managed to understand me and helped gladly.

After the original booking in Villa Hentzel was cancelled due to non-availability of staff, the new (alternative) booking was Hotel Liszt. Great location, close to downtown. Spacious rooms. OK breakfast, have seen better ones in such category and priced hotels.

Well appointed large rooms overlooking a beautiful historic park in the center of Weimar. The bed is comfortable, the wifi is fast, the restaurant is delicious, and the bar is open late. Very quiet, and the staff is outstanding.
The setting here is unique, with the hotel and restaurant being in an 18th century schloß. The gardens and surrounding park are wonderful. The room was recently renovated and more than adequate at a fair price. The restaurant was great for both dinner and breakfast.
