Loved staying in the castle and walking around the fields...
Loved staying in the castle and walking around the fields surrounding the same. We saw a sign in Gommern for the Strasse der Romanik in neighbouring areas, but the sign postings were very infrequent. We did happen to find a few quite by accident and the buildings these led to were very beautifulLLizetAustralia

Since this is in a tiny town and a bit off the beaten path for highway travelers it was quiet and almost empty. The restaurant closed at 18 but it was obvious that the expectation was that the staff can go home at 18 so we barely made it at 17:30. Dinner was excellent. Cool and beautiful surroundings. we just wished we had booked the suit in the tower 😅
