This is one of the nicest hotel/restaurants that we have stayed in on our many many weeks of bicycle traveling through Europe in the past 20+ years . Our room was absolutely great with a separate sitting area with a sofa and comfortable chairs . Great use of color throughout the room . Very comfortable bed and an amazing large and clean bathroom . Multiple windows and glass doors in room 16 to provide light . Good WiFi .
On-site Restaurant was closed on Sunday night but a short 1.8km bike ride took us to Zur Schmeide Restaurant which was really great . The grounds of the hotel are well maintained and quite beautiful. We had our own private patio to store our bikes under cover and to rest after our long ride .
More than adequate breakfast was included.

The location is really good. Quite close to the highway for our journey from Berlin to Rostock, yet far enough away that you do not hear any cars. Behind the hotel one finds a quiet forest, yet in front is a lively beach with plenty of options for swimming and other water-sports.
Our room was clean, beds were comfortable, and the balcony door could open, yet came equipped with a screen door to prevent bugs from entering the room.
While the reception closes at a reasonable hour, one can still pop-down to the restaurant and bar downstairs for a late-evening drink while overlooking the lake. In the morning, it offers a good breakfast served by amazing staff, which one again can take in- or outside and while enjoying the view.
This 4-star superior hotel enjoys an beautiful natural location on the Inselsee lake, to the south of Güstrow, and blends beautifully into its natural lakeland surroundings.

We stopped here for onr night on our way to Rostock. It is easily accesible from the highway. Clean, comfortable, parking right in front of the pension, a lot of attention to details, very good breakfast.
