Wonderful accommodation with alpine style. Everything is brand new, lovingly and fantastically furnished. Great outdoor area with large gas grill and garden. Perfect location to visit Neuschwanstein Castle and the mountains. Neuschwanstein is only 5 minutes away by car. An e-charging station and free parking is right in front of the accommodation. The staff is extremely friendly and cordial. Very good restaurants and a grocery store are within 2 minutes walking distance. It was a perfect stay. Thank you very much, we highly recommend this accommodation.

Excellent location, with a nice view. Neuschwanstein, Hochenschwangau castles are all walking distance.
Excellent staff. We arrived just before 10pm before they close the reception starving. The receptionist did not only wait for us to check-in but also prepared a cheese plate, served us and waited until we are finished.

This is a great area if you like a quiet village, nature, walking, hiking, biking, swimming in nearby lakes. My hotel, Alpenblick, was a perfect location for all of this. Having a car helps, but there are buses to most places in the area and train connections from nearby towns. One big hub is Steingaden from where you can get to most places. This area is a good place to slow down, relax, recuperate if you are living in a fast paced city and all that it entails. People are friendly and helpful if the hotel staff are anything to go by.

Nice village 10 minutes from the Ticketoffice for the castles (at the bottom of Neuschwanstein castle - starting point to discover the castle). Best place to stay with nice view on the mountains and no tourists (contrary to Fussen and Neuschwanstein). Some good restaurants around also :-) more localrichardlrFrance

The bathroom was tiny. We preferred using our soap and shampoo. The towels were cleaned but a bit old. Breakfast was excellent (8,5 euros!). The hotel is located 11km from the castles which is not too far. We could easily park in the street. It is a village. There are some very good restaurants in Schwangau, 6km from the hotel. This time I just needed one room. The hotel is very close to Neuschwanstein castle, but it is much cheaper than the hotels in Füssen or Schwangau. The parking is just around the house. There is a pub/restaurant on the ground floor which is very practical. Breakfast was good and rich, though, when the house is pretty full, you need to go downstairs in time. Music from the pub until 11 p.m. was fine and well chosen.

While the price is high compared with the modern and new hotels in the cities, apparently it is moderate for the location of Foggersee. The room was standard in style and size for alpine/village family run establishments. The breakfast was good. The young man who serves as receptionist and waiter was very pleasant and does his best to be very helpful. The communication in English/German is limited.

The welcome we received was fabulous, immediately offered us a drying room for our wet motorcycle gear and an evening meal even though we had not booked half board rather than needing to head back out into the rain. Meal was so good we booked in for the following night. The location was breath taking overlooking the mountain, within easy reach of many lakes and Neuschwanstein castle. The room was clean and had all the necesseties, and the breakfast was really sweet: each table with a little pyramid full of goodies. The rooms are on the first floor, while on the ground floor there is a little reastaraunt where in the evening typical greek food is served. We didn't have the chance to taste it, but it smelled and looked really tasty! The owner didnt't speak English, but she was very nice and helpful and we were able to understand eachother anyway.

The food at their Italian restaurant was delicious and the portions were huge. We stayed in a newly built, add-on section of the hotel and the rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. The hostess was delightful and provided a great breakfast with fresh cooked eggs and the normal continental breakfast items.. The bathroom was plenty large enough and not cramped like some European hotel rooms. We would definitely stay here again.
