The stay was super pleasant.Situated in the pretty hornberg ( between triberg and gutach) town this hotel was clean, modern and with friendly staff. The breakfast was great and gave a nice start to all the hiking activities we did.

Away from the crazies. Beautiful scenery and lots of hiking trails. There were even cows with bells nearby serenading us. Great food there and staff was very nice and helpful.

A lovely little town, few attractions for kids in the area, including summer glides, field with all senses, and few more attractions - as well as not too far from Triberg waterfalls and town and some more. Overall great for couple of days

Fantastic views, great food, and very friendly staff. Large open-air pool in the town less than 2 km away from the hotel as well, which was free with vouchers from the hotel. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

It's a good "hub" from which to make day trips. There is a nice Kuckuckuhr (cookoo clock) store on the main road near the section called Niederwasser. There are forests in which to do some good hiking. Walking the older part of the towns in the area can be relaxing.
Get an area map and research where to park your car. Small town parking can be tricky. Traveling by bus and train with a free Black Forest Pass while you are in the area can be beneficial - make sure train schedules are current. I will definitely come back to Hornberg/Niederwasser to Gaestehaus Ursula's Bed and Breakfast as my hub in the future.

The surrounding forests have many really nice walks that can be tailored to meet your personal requirements.
The ambiance allows single traveler's to blend into the background rather than standing out.
The location is a little isolated so personal transport is essential unless you are a passionate rambler.

Hornberg is a pretty village dominated by a ruined castle on a hill. There are a few restaurants but I would thoroughly recommend the one situated next to the Hotel My Home hotel. On both occasions we ate there the food was excellent and plentiful. Whilst we were there it was a religious festival so all shops and most of the bars were closed. From Hornberg we visited the Triberg waterfall which is worth a visit, numerous cuckoo clock shops and allegedly the world's largest cuckoo clock.
The location of the hotel is just perfect. It's like a fairy tale. Clean, spacious, bright room with huge windows with panoramic views of the mountains and a beautiful large balcony with furniture and a sun lounger. It's just a delight! There is a kettle in the room, a very good hair dryer and a selection of complimentary herbal teas. The hosts are very friendly, we easily communicated upon check-in, even considering that my level of German is only basic.
A dog friendly hotel in a superb location to visit the Black Forest. Set next to an old castle the hotel has wonderful views - the vista from our room was a picture postcard. The room was large, comfortable and clean. We dined in the first evening and the food was great. The breakfast buffet was well stocked. Our (well behaved) dog was allowed in the breakfast area. The staff were friendly and very helpful.
This was a fantastic place to stay, great location and friendly host. The apartment was very spacious and clean with great facilities for 4 adults. We enjoyed being able to sit outside for a meal also. Sadly we only had a 1 night stay in Hornberg. Plenty to do there and in surrounding areas. Easy to find and the host met us for check in, also the free parking space in the garage below was great.
We are 2 long distance cyclists riding from the UK to Italy and the Gasthof Rose was exactly on our route in the centre of the delightful town of Hornberg just around the corner from the marketplace. It is a very comfortable traditional hotel run by a very charming lady. Good restaurant and an excellent breakfast. Very quiet. Very good secure bike storage in the hotel's garage. Very comfortable.
The location and view, amazing view over the mounts woth some trails near by that you can reach walking with great views over the village. The main atrractions are nearby like the Tiberg waterfall.
Also the reataurant in the hotel has a lot of offer in local foods. The breakfast is amazing.
Easy to get to, communicative and helpful owner. In proximity of the center of Hornberg. The apartment itself was very spacious and has comfortable beds. The view from the terrace is also amazing – too bad the weather didn't permit us to use the barbecue on the property.
High quality. The hotel is new, the room was big for 4 people, it was well decorated and comfortable. It is very close to castle and Hornberg is very beautiful city. The breakfast was top quality. The owners also own the restaurant nex door, which was also a great one.
The staff was amazing and went out of their way to get us settled. We had a great dinner and breakfast at the hotel. My family loves the place.
Fantastic location near other attractions. Beautiful setting right under the castle. Hornberg and Hotel Adler are a gem.
Gästhaus Ursula was the most welcoming B&B in our 2 week vacation. The owner is charming and friendly, and spoiled our son with delicious treats. We really felt comfortable, and the location, halfway between Triberg and Hornberg, was perfect for our overnight.
The host, Petra, was welcoming and helpful. She even carried a suitcase upto the room. The room was superb and the powershower was fantastic. The parking was secure, the location was central to the village. Great breakfast, great hotel
We were received very friendly. The room was great. We eclecially liked the restaurant, where we ate dinner. The menu is great and the dishes are amazing! The location of the hotel was really good, in the cozy center of Hornberg.
The hotel was spotlessly clean in all areas. The owners were friendly and accommodating. All the staff were efficient and polite.
The hotel is very quirky with a mixture of old and new. It works. It’s brilliant.
A beautiful traditional hotel which is family run and the owners couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. The Dinner was superb as was the breakfast. Rooms were very comfortable.
