Kappelrodeck is beautiful and not too touristy. I could imagine living here to be honest! Nice selection of restaurants and a beautiful little konditorie. The people were super nice and friendly, no matter where we went and it is a fabulous home base to then go out and explore the area on hikes through the forests and vineyards. A must visit is the Zuckerbergschloss cafe/restaurant, which became one of our fave places to go. The Wine from the Hex Von Dasenstein winery is also excellent and well worth a visit to taste what they have on offer.TracyGermany

The terrace (south) and balcony (west) were fantastic and the kitchen had everything we needed. We brought our racing bikes with us, and the hostess offered us to stall them in their personal garage. And about the location: we came for biking and hiking and we were not disappointed. Kappelrodeck is surrounded by vineyards, orchards and of course the Schwarzwald. We will definitely visit again.

The hotel terrace and garden are more appealing than the photo's show. Nice view on the surrounding wineyards. The family room with balcony was ideal for our family of four. Very comfortable beds. The (optional) breakfast was complete and varied for the price asked. If you come late to breakfast, choice maybe (much) less. We guess you can always ask to the friendly and helpful owning family. The restaurant served a limited menu but perfect (and good) for short stay.BertBelgium

This apartment was a first class apartment, in which the hosts have payed attention to every single detail. This is like a hostel, and taking this into account is perfect. You can use the saloon for you own food with cold drinks available. Big common spaces to be use. Our 4 people room was quite small. Breakfast correct without sweet things, while cheese or hot options (scramble eggs, nación…).

Bed was big and comfortable. We loved the hotel and the city. You can view a vineyard from the hotel and restaurant. Restaurant has a corner with many child toys. Not to far off the motorway in a nice rural setting.
