Frankly this is not a hotel but I felt it is kind of a rented room with no facilities., small old TV that's it ..no coffee maker or nothing. They are running Building as hotel without any hotel facilities. Parking is not free and you have to pay extra with coin system means you can not go out many times with car or else you have to ask again and again for the coins.zero security and not safe for families. Also over priced, never again
This hotel in Idar-Oberstein offers large, air-conditioned rooms and suites with flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi.

The hotel was clean and beautiful. The staff was great even with some communication difficulties due to the language barrier. We always got it figured out.
Gasthaus Hochwald features a bar, shared lounge, a garden and ski-to-door access in Hattgenstein. There is a terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking.
Located in Idar-Oberstein, 17 miles from Natural Park Saar-Hunsrück, Boutique Hotel Villa Horbach has accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace.

Excellent service, spotlessly clean, and nicely appointed facilities. Lovely breakfast with GF options. We stayed as last-minute guests with our large dog who was warmly welcomed. Set against the forest it was very convenient for us to walk the dog and visit old castles along the track. Also if you drive electric there are chargers available within walking distance.
This 3-star hotel is located on the outskirts of Idar-Oberstein, a 2-minute drive from the town center and a 5-minute drive from the Hunsrück Hochwald National Park.

This hotel is a gem! Everything was literally perfect! I’ve never stayed in such a clean well run hotel. It’s managed by the owner who has put his heart and sole into every detail. Our room was spacious, organized and immaculate. The furnishings and decor are lovely and feel like home. We’ve stayed in 5 star hotels that don’t manage the basics as well as this! The staff were all very nice and helpful. The breakfasts and dinners were very good (like being served at home). I can’t say enough good things about this charming hotel! I hope I get a chance to return some day!
This 3-star superior hotel in Allenbach is set beside a forest on the German Diamond Road. It offers quiet rooms and traditional food from the Saar-Hunsrück region.

It is a lovely friendly hotel in a national park. The room was large enough, and the bed was comfortable. The restaurant offers a wide variety of delicious food. It has a lovely terrace. The buffet breakfast was excellent.
Quiet, nature, relaxation - the recreational value of the beautiful location in the national park was already recognized at the beginning of the last century.

beautiful and serene, this property is meticulously clean and well kept. the privacy of a small town and the tranquility of the mountains leave you wishing you could live there. the pool and spa area are pristine and perfect, the pool is crystal clear and warm, the view beyond the glass is gorgeous. you get pampered and leave refreshed and fabulous. the staff is kind and super helpful. they stock the mini bar in your room with free goodies. the breakfast is delicious and the meal served in the restaurant exquisite. best place I’ve stayed in years.
Free Wi-Fi and a breakfast buffet are available at this family-run hotel, located a 10-minute walk from Idar-Oberstein Train Station. The hotel offers warmly decorated rooms with cable TV.
Great combination of nature and culture. Many walkingroutes available. Leisel sits centrally just south of the Hunsrück Hochwald National Park, one of only 16 national parks in Germany. Nearby Leisel you will find plenty of forests,in fact the region has the largest areas with forests in all of Germany.
Visit Trier, one hour away by car. The oldest German city, with UNESCO worldheritage: 8 Roman sites, including the famous Porta Nigra , worldwide the best preserved Roman citygate. Herrstein, nearby, has won an award for outstanding restoration from the European Union, admire the typical regional timbered houses "Fachwerkhäuser". All around romantic castles and ruines on hilltops.
Great quality of culinary delights. Close to the Moselle river, famous for its wines. Bernkastel, about 45 min away, is one of the most beautiful Mosel villages, defenitely recommend to visit those 3: Herrstein, Trier and Bernkastel.
Leisel is only 15 min away from Erbeskopf, the highest mountain of the region, at 816m, also good for skiing in winter. There is a skilift. Hunsrück is one of the best regions for hiking and walks in nature.
Leisel is very quiet, in the village is the very cosy Kleine Dorfs Wirtschaft restaurant in a big log cabin, wine and dine on regional specialties among the locals.
