Room was large and airy and very clean. Beds were basic but comfortable. Bathroom was large and very well equipped. Liked having lots of privacy with pin code room entry.

Had a classic feel about it. I like that. The staff were exceptional—German hospitality is quite different to the US. Staff were very attentive but always disconcertingly close—that, of they were always going something around me. That said, they were VERY attentive and helpful especially the guys that were there for dinner and then for breakfast. The breakfast was very good—a great spread!

This hotel in the Eifel National Park overlooks Lake Rursee. It offers wonderful lake views, chargeable use of sauna area and free Wi-Fi. Heimbach is a 5-minute drive away.
