This family owned and run hotel was just wonderful. I did not expect to find such a gem in the outskirts of Schwerin. It is what I call an honest down to earth hotel, the staff wonderful, the room in much better shape than I saw on certain high class hotels in my traveling past. And although I booked on a very short notice during traveling peak season / long weekend, I think I got the best room there - facing west with a balcony, able to enjoy the sunset. And as the hotel, so was the food in the restaurant - honest and very good. I strictly recommend this Hotel.

Very calm area, very nice stuff, very clean. We could rent bikes and it was ok that we could not decide, for how long we wanted to use them. The breakfast buffet was very good too and offered fresh food for each taste. There is a restaurant with great cuisine. I enjoyed my time very much.

Nice collection of holiday houses, directly on a small lake. Rowboats can be taken out free of charge whenever you want, huge green areas for kids to run around in and explore, play on a playground, on a small soccer pitch, etc. Houses come with fully-equipped kitchens and all cooking, utensils, etc. Some units have an outdoor sauna. Very quiet area, around 5 minutes drive from the next village with grocery stores etc. Super nice and helpful host.
