The hotel is nicer as it looks like on Internet, basically on the pedestrian street of Schwerin and close to all administrative buildings, restaurants, etc. The parking on the back of the building was easily accessible as well.

The staff was very nice. They especially made us a vegan plate, because we asked for vegan breakfast. The breakfast room ist stunning. The location is wonderful, just 3 min from the lake with view to the castle.

Tiny room but it was enough for me. The bed is very comfy. Though I booked a room that says the bathroom is outside, I was still given a room with a bathroom in my room, for which I was super grateful. For those future travellers who worry about the bathroom outside, it is still private and not shared, so I would not worry about it.
The location is amazing, I arrived by train and before the train even stopped I already saw the place.

This family owned and run hotel was just wonderful. I did not expect to find such a gem in the outskirts of Schwerin. It is what I call an honest down to earth hotel, the staff wonderful, the room in much better shape than I saw on certain high class hotels in my traveling past. And although I booked on a very short notice during traveling peak season / long weekend, I think I got the best room there - facing west with a balcony, able to enjoy the sunset. And as the hotel, so was the food in the restaurant - honest and very good. I strictly recommend this Hotel.

Beautiful location, right in front of the lake. There's a restaurant downstairs, which unfortunately closes at 6pm. On the plus side, it is very quiet. Staff were helpful and breakfast was nice. Balcony is semi-private; it is shared with the rest of the guests (there are 4 rooms)
Once it gets dark, you can see that seagulls rest on the deck. Shortly before sunrise, they...well, seagulls being seagulls. The soundproofing of the room was amazing though. When the window is closed, you hear pretty much nothing.
The room itself is spacious. There is a small walk-in closet and there's a mini fridge inside.
