Loved the view and the area as such! The hotel was kinda nda cute and noble old-fashioned in a sense, but it all worked well
Family-run since 1920, this 3-star hotel offers accommodation with free WiFi in the central pedestrian zone of Sankt Goar. Rheinfels Castle is 700 metres away.

The Breakfast spread was simple but very good and filling, personalized touch (like a reserved table for each guest), good sized room, mattress topper to join the two single beds, the owner's hospitality and the perfect location. We could also park our pram near the reception to avoid carrying it all the way up and down each time.
Boasting wonderful views of Burg Katz castle, this non-smoking hotel in St. Goar is located on the River Rhine, directly opposite boat jetties and near scenic bicycle routes.
This family-friendly hotel on the Rhine offers great views and regional cuisine. Weinhotel Landsknecht is a 5-minute drive from Sankt Goar and the Lorelei rock, and 12 minutes from the A61 motorway.

The breakfast was plentiful, fresh, lots of variety, fresh tea, coffee, hot chocolate, juice, rolls, the BEST soft boiled eggs we've ever had at a hotel: delicious!
This hotel enjoys a beautiful setting in St. Goar, and offers a breathtaking view of the River Rhine. Hotel Rheinfels has a cosy breakfast room with a view of the river and boat jetty.

The hotel is in a great location across from the Rhine. Our room had a clear view across the river. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The location provides easy walk to the cruise ship terminal at Sankt Goar. The room was very clean and the restaurant and breakfast were exceptional.

Great stop-off for a few days, lots to see and do in the surrounding area. Wether with car, bicycle, hiking or boat excursions up or down River Rhein. Or take a local train to larger towns like Koblenz. Car and bike friendly. Castles to explore galore. Opposite side of river is the famous Loreley to explore and summer Toboggan run is fun. Above St.Goar is the huge Castle Burg Rheinfels and Biebernheim, hiking gateway above the River gorge.
Plenty of Restaurants, cafes, ice cream parlours during daytime. Couple of restaurants/pub need advance table reservation. These are very good for food.
Scenery is gorgeous and plenty of it!

Cute little town in the middle of everything.
Cute little town in the middle of everything. If you want to explore the villages in the south or in the north St Goar is just right and better priced than Koblenz for example. Beautiful castle right in town. You can take a day in the Rhine from St Goar also. The food is not that great but if you like schnitzels, sauces, bratwurst, bread, and beer it is perfect! Easy to get around, great breakfast at St Goar café. They dont advertise it but make you great scramble eggs!

Sankt Goar is a small town on the Rhine with many hotels and restaurants. From the river promenade you will see many castles and the famous Lorelei. A ferry is also available for crossing the Rhine. I highly recommend! If you drive, the scenery from the river road is wonderful. Coming by train is also very easy.

Staff went above and beyond normal service to help us.
Staff went above and beyond normal service to help us. The allowed for early drop off of luggage before check-in so we could explore the town and let us leave our bags after check-out. They gave helpful advice on the town and the nearby castle.

The view from the castle hotel is gorgeous.
The view from the castle hotel is gorgeous. The town itself is very small and doesn't have much to do, compared to other towns on the Rhine such as Rudesheim Am Rhein and Bacharach. However, you could go to many nearby places by car or by the hourly train.

Sankt Goar is a quiet town on the Rhine.
Sankt Goar is a quiet town on the Rhine. It is about an hour north of Rudesheim. It was about an hour drive south of Köln. Up on the hill is the Castle Reinfels. It is very pretty and worth a visit. Up on the hill and down on the Rhine you can see two castles on the opposite bank. In town there are two clock shops and one also sells expensive, yet tasty wine and brandy (made near the shop). If you are not a custom to small town Germany, and most of Germany in general, the town kinda shuts down after 8/9 pm (aka 2000 and 2100). There are so many hiking and biking opportunities near by. We stayed one night and I wish we could have stayed one or two more nights. But a whole week would have been way too much time unless we were meeting someone there or staying with a family or friend.
We loved this apartment - it was probably one of the best we have stayed in on our travels through Germany! It was extremely comfortable, well equipped and centrally located in Sankt Goar. The balcony was fantastic and we sat out there in the evening. We were able to leave our bikes in the garage and the Rhine was accessible in minutes. The owners were lovely and very quick to respond to any questions we had. They sent us detailed instructions on how to access the apartment beforehand. We had a wonderful stay!
We had a wonderful trip to Sankt Goar and loved staying in this apartment. It fit our family of four perfectly, was centrally located, and the place was exceptionally clean. The balcony was a favorite with our family — having breakfast looking at the Rhine was amazing! We paid for the nearby parking spot to be reserved and it was worth it for us. Truly this place was a gem and we will remember our time here very fondly. Thank you for sharing your beautiful property with us!
This hotel was a 5 minute walk downhill from the train station. It's right in front of the KD St. Goar stop as well. It's a great location. The staff is friendly. The included breakfast was standard "Continental style". They also stored my bags between check-out and ferry departure. This place is a great value for it's location.
I liked everything about the property. The breakfast was good. The room was spacious and clean. The location was exceptional. There are plenty of places available around the property for parking. The ferry station and the train station are within a few meters from the hotel. There is a good Asian restaurant nearby for take-away.
Breakfast was excellent, parking was great over the weekend. Hotel is in great location. We enjoyed overviewing the river Rhein, the river valley and some castles within this area. I highly recommend the hotel and we will come back once we plan to stay in St. Goar again.
Great location and nice view. The hotel itself is so quaint and cute with lots of antiques. The lady working there is also sweet and was happy to wait for us to check in later than the normal check-in time and to leave our bags at the hotel after checkout.
Family run hotel. Friendly welcome. 3 night stay was perfect. Comfortable clean, breakfast tasty, ample choice. Comfortable bed. Well located near Rhine for evening walks, restaurants in area, boat ride down the Rhine, visit to the castle ruins a must.
Nice intimate simple hotel, perfect location, theady that manages the location was really nice and breakfast was good.
The room is small and oldish but perfect for our needs.
Good price/quality.
Bonus:
The breakfast room really nicely decorated :)
I have stayed here about 5 times before so I obviously like it. A very good riverside town location. We again took the scheduled boat trip along the Rhein from the landing near the hotel. Good food reasonably priced.
Convenient location close to both the train station and the K-D ship dock. The breakfast was great, very high quality. The manager was responsive to our needs, and a very nice person. A great little hotel
The hotel is being renovated but the owners do their best to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Spacious and clean refurbished rooms. Convenient central location. Amazing breakfast!!!
Old-fashioned small hotel in a scenic Rhine village. Classic continental breakfast was served in the owner's restaurant adjacent. The train station and riverside docks are an easy walk away.
The hotel was a little out of town, so a car was essential. But everything else was a delight. The owner and staff were very helpful, and both breakfast and dinner were really good.
My wife and I stayed for a weekend. Sort of a romantic weekend thing. Hotel is pretty nice and my wife enjoyed her spa/message treatments.
Breakfast was excellent.
