Went to visit family, but lovely town, excellent choice of shops, cafes, bars, restaurants all close by Hotel Am Muhlenteich. Friday market on in the morning in the square, great selection of fine foods, local specialities, clothing, etc. Churches close by and and great to wander through the old cobbled streets and visit the lovely old traditional bars.AAnonymousUnited Kingdom

The staff were welcoming and friendly and made every effort to accommodate us. There was so much choice at breakfast and it was very good value. There was also a very good selection of wine in the bar. If we have a reason to return to Schwelm we'd most definitely stay here again.

The booking profile does not mention the parking facilities, yet there is a dedicated parking lot just opposite the hotel. The night I was there (Sunday to Monday), I was the only guest, so the staff changed the breakfast schedule to a slightly later time, specially for me, which was nice.
