An absolutely beautiful city. Very easy to walk around. The castle and grounds are majestic. Lots of interesting places. Do a lake tour as well as a city tour. If you are here on the weekend, you may need to reserve at a restaurant.

The apartment was in a very central area of the old town and just a short walk to the Schloss which was very interesting with beautiful gardens on the lake. Lieblingsnest apartment was very comfortable and well equipped but the bedroom was very cramped and had too little airflow. It really needed a ceiling fan. There were too many doors for such a small space.

Unexpectedly beautiful city.
Unexpectedly beautiful city. A lot of old and well kept houses, and a very extravagant castle. Unfortunately not all of the city is well kept, but the overall impression is good. There are several nice restaurants, and the Christmas market is very nice. The city also have a lot of shopping opportunities, including shopping centers. Beware that the shopping centers have very few elevators and toilet facilities.

A very pleasant and picturesque city in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern with good rail services for exploring the remainder of the state. There is a good range of shops, restaurants and bars. Great city to relax a bit.
Great city to relax a bit. The lake is nice and also the city and the castle were a super cool visit. Many shopping and restaurant options. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a place to detach a bit from the etic lifestyle of the city. Would stay between 1 and 3 days.

Very good location in central Schwerin with the palace and a supermarket down the road, and just a short walk from several attractions and restaurants - we even found a nice little nook to go swimming in the Schweriner See (away from the harbour and main waterfront areas) a few minutes walk down the street. The bike storage is accessible with the room key which gave us more freedom in comparison to other hotels where you have to get the key from the reception. The rooms are small but are clean and have everything you need. The breakfast is phenomenal - very good selection of food. And the location is perfect whether you want to do more biking or explore Schwerin by foot.

Great. The hotel has an elevator and thus is easily accessible for older and disabled people. The staff was friendly, helpful, and flexible. The room was impeccably clean. The breakfast had plenty of options beyond the ordinary (including options for vegetarians, lactose intolerant people, plenty of seeds and nuts etc.). Excellent.

Specially the room with the balcony is a gem to enjoy the view of the town. But if you have a car, the navigation cannot find the right direction to this hotel because there are a lot of one way traffic roads and narrow alleys. And the parking lot is in a very hidden place.
