We were given a better and larger room than shown in Booking.com. The room was very clean and comfortable and still cheaper than a lot of other options.Breakfast was not fancy but quite ok with sufficient coffe (3 cups per person:-) and 5 Euro.
I was not expecting this quality for the price.😊

Seeshaupt is a beautiful area, very close to the lake whereever you go. The folks in the city is very friendly, they have some very good restaurants in the area with fair prices. Around the lake you find many places to have a drink or some food and go for a swim. A great stop off place when cycling and walking. Easy access to the lake and a variety of restaurants (not fine dining but good food). The private garden was worth a visit even if only to put a name to a plant. Would have been even better if the tea room had been open.

The hotel is beautiful, the staff is great, the food is excellent and the rooms are amazing! We even got a free upgrade for our celebration! We were super welcome and felt like "home away from home" there! Besides, we traveled with our dog and it was super special, they prepared a bed for him, they added bowls for food and water in the room and he got lots of treats and petting from the staff! We would come back and recommend it to anyone!

To get there we had a hike from Bernried - and it was awesome. The hotel was almost empty, but the owner gave us a warm welcome and a couple of local beers - even despite he was ill and the restaurant was closed at the time. Breakfast was good enough (and actually very good for the money). Despite situation on the road, sounds from passing cars were not too loud.

Not far from the hotel there is a grocery store and 2 restaurants, so dinner was taken care of. Parking is readily available behind the building. And the breakfast, although the choice is not big, was really good, especially the warm buns. Also, I highly recommend the sauna at the hotel :)
