We were traveling with bicycles and had looked for a one-night accommodation on our route through Rheinhessen. The Höfchen Stadecken was just what we needed: self-service checkin, a safe and sheltered place for our e-bikes, a nice backyard with tables and chairs, and a self-service fridge offering various beverages. The rooms are small but modern and nicely styled. We also booked the breakfast which was really great.

At first, the stay looked a little odd. We were welcomed through the back-entrance. The room itself does not have a "new and fresh" look, but everything turned out to be really good. Everything was clean and comfortable. The owner was really nice and the breakfast was really good. Way better than you would expect for this price!

As my trip was specifically to be in the suburb of Schwabenheim, this hotel was perfectly located. The hotel was clean and so was my room. I had stayed previously at this hotel in 2012 and they did not have this new wing with the newly designed rooms at that time. It wasn't a bad walk to get into town. The breakfast was a bit light but that could have been because it was a Friday and there were few guests. However, this was the only negative. As I travelled in the cooler weather, the room had the right temperature. I did not see Air Conditioning as an option so I will not stay here if I come in the Summer as I do need my air conditioning! The staff seemed friendly. I didn't converse much with them since my colleagues spoke German. There is an electric charging station for an EV and parking in general available at the site. I did enjoy looking out my window at the early AM mist and the open fields which was very serene.

Location within a operating vineyard. Excellent on-site produced wines. Beautiful decor within the property that suited our tastes to a "T". Wonderful breakfast and staff.
Room was very cosy and comfortable. I had a very relaxing stay at Das Hofchen Stadecken. Breakfast was beautiful and Carla was very kind to drive me one morning when I was unable to get a taxi! This was incredibly kind and not something that other hotel providers would have done! Very grateful to Carla and staff for making my time so relaxed and enjoyable. Will hopefully return someday soon!
