Once you arrive and walk into the compound that is this hotel, you are in a different and peaceful world where the sound of the waves, natural plantings and South Pacific style accommodations take you to a very zen place. Its beachfront position in a remote area means you often have the beach to yourself for walks or sunbathing. Being remote, there are no stores or restaurants nearby, but that doesn't matter because breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel's little restaurant with amazing Tiki Bar are available 8a-8p and are scrumptious! To see other nearby places, the manager arranged for trusted taxi transport or brought us there herself. Un Dia Boutique Resort was our first of many hotel stays on this trip to Ecuador and the hospitality there spoiled us and set a high bar for the rest of our trip.

The property was pretty clean specially, in the room. The pool was great. The food was OK.

My credit card company charged me twice and paid hotel twice. They were so helpful and gave us back the 2nd payment in cash. Some hotels might have put me through many steps to get the 2nd payment back...but Ohana Beach hotel desk quickly confirmed the 2nd payment and refunded in cash! Great customer service and cooperative! Had to depart hotel before breakfast was being served. The kitchen opened early to make the two of us breakfast so we could eat before leaving so early...wonderful service!
