The grounds were beautiful, loved the fact that it was on the beach, and there was a bonfire in the evening.

Meeting Carlos is like coming back to your birthplace and embracing your old friend. He's a great person with an enormous heart, strong life values and good sense of humor. This great man is a soul of this place, his wonderful dogs are its mood and warmth.
Nothing else matters, when you see his smile, his relationships with the dogs, listen to his stories about nature and see how his love for life leads him to great purposes.

We were nicely welcomed to the hotel. There is a parking in the inside court. The location is superb, one can walk to the beach or try the many restaurants around. Breakfast was not included but was not expensive. We ordered a cooked breakfast which was served rapidly from the kitchen.
The bed was comfortable and we had a nice balcony from which we were able to observe a brilliant sunset. There is a lovely bar located directly facing the beach. I would stay there again.

The place is nice and well located. We arrived at around 2.30pm and checked in immediately. The beach is not far from the property, at walking distance. It was safe during the day and night. The staff was informative and didn't intervene at all during our stay, so we could enjoy a nice private stay.

We booked online and when we arrived, the hotel was locked up with chains at the gate, not a soul was there. We waited for 3 hours and finally decided to book somewhere else. I hope the owners are fine, but seriously not impressed. Close you online bookings if you leave...
Puerto Cayo has a beautiful beach and a beautiful Malecón...
Puerto Cayo has a beautiful beach and a beautiful Malecón brick walkway. The Street in front of the walkway looks like it is being prepared for paving. Puerto Cayo is a fishing village that is preparing to be a great stop for tourists. We stayed at the grand Poseidon hotel. An older log style accommodation with beautiful artistic wood workings throughout. We always love to eat on the beach away from roads and there were a few restaurants to choose from.
