The staff was very friendly, the hotel was decorated prettily, with hammocks, etc., and I highly recommend it!

Also, at night there is a campfire and music on the speakers, which makes for a fun time!

A very peaceful and beautiful place. Amany is the best host - a calm, warm and helpful presence.
Close enough to the main town (we walked once and it was about 20 mins) but you can get to anywhere for a cheap price in a tuk tuk. The desert safari was incredible! we opted for a private one with dinner and it did not disappoint - so much fun with incredible stars and Amany booked us the best chef in town who cooks the food under the sand. Would recommend!

Our time at Cafour House is the number one holiday I've had so far. As we arrived, Abdu and Nora (the owners) were helping and showed us around. Their kindness, communication and hospitality is waaay more than the expected, we really could enjoy the time here without any problem.
We had traditional egyptian breakfast, and also had lunch and dinner here for a very reasonble price. All meals were quite big portions, and tasted very well, thanks to the kitchen staff!:)
The hot spring is very nurturing, you can literally see the stars from the tub at night. One of my favourite.
The location is a bit far from the city centre, but you can experience real silence and peace here without and disturbing sounds.
The centre of Siwa city is a 15 min ride by tuktuk, for a very reasonable price. Abdu and Nora also helped us with the programmes, we tried desert safari (100%worth it) and we visited the Salt Lakes, the Cleopatra Spring, the Oracle Temple, the Amun Temple and watched the sunset on a nice spot with Hakam. He is an excellent tour guide, he knows a lot about this mysterious little city. I can fully recommend to ask him for guiding.
It's hard to summon the whole experience in one single sentence, but i'll try:
I will definitely come back:)
Greetings and hugs from 2 hungarian traveler

A beautiful green lake sits among this ocean of yellow sand, but Siwa has more than just breathtaking sceneries, it carries a culture of its own; local habitants of Siwa actually speaks their own language, which is more like the language spoken by the Berber (desert people from further west), than the Egyptian Arabic spoken in the rest of Egypt.

Visit Siwa if you are looking for history and nature.
Visit Siwa if you are looking for history and nature. The Mountain of the dead and The Temple of the Oracle are must see sites. Take the desert safari to explore the desert, ride around sand dunes, see an oasis, visit a hot spring. Nice!

Siwa is on of hidden Gems globally, it takes 7 hours by car from Cairo the Capital, Enjoy the nature in every single thing, starting from morning, enjoy a traditional Bedouin breakfast, Safari in western desert with local guide, sand surfing, and Tea on fire, ending it up with midnight camping on middle of nowhere,
Second day, the salt lakes where it heal your skin burns or scars, do it carefully and don't put your eyes into the water, Never. Ending up in Cleopatra spring to wash up all your sins, ;)
Third day, have a round in old Siwa, enjoying Abdo Rest. eating local food and shop around for pure healthy herbs.

There is little to do here.
There is little to do here. Two mediocre archaeological sites, one spring (Cleopatra pool). Only one restaurant. The fresh water lake has no real access. The salt lake is a long drive to where you can swim in rectangular mined areas.
It might be ok for people who want to hang out in their hotel beside a pool and do nothing. Flies everywhere and bad mosquitoes at dusk and dawn.

Everyone deserves a trip to Siwa.
Everyone deserves a trip to Siwa. I know the road there and back may dissuade you but it is entirely worth your time. In fact, I would dare say you NEED to come here. Here you will experience a different culture than the hustle and bustle of Cairo and Luxor. There is plenty going on here but it is much less crowded and much more peaceful. The Siwa Salt Lakes are a must-see experience. There is something almost other-worldly in the air here, especially coming from the busy streets of more densely populated Egyptian cities. Just a few days here in the middle of your trip and you will feel ready to tackle the rest of your Egyptian cities. Missing this place and all the tuktuk rides so much!
We loved staying here & would recommend this stay if you are ever in Siwa! The aesthetic of the place was nicely done, it was very clean & breakfast was great:) The place was in a good location, super close (walking distance) to the bus station, towns & some good restaurants. Although we didn’t end up using it, the kitchen was stocked with necessities that we were free to use. The host was very responsive, friendly & helpful- she helped us book tours & rides around Siwa. We would definitely stay here again!
Our stay was fantastic! Salama, the manager, is always available to make sure your needs are satisfied. Good breakfast, great location in Siwa. The beds are harder than we are accustomed to, but it was no big deal. There is no heat in the rooms, but we had 3 extremely heavy blankets and that was fine even though it was 40 degrees Fahrenheit at night. Salama had a fire for us in the cafe and we enjoyed interacting with the other guests. Rustic, but a fantastic experience!
The legendary Mr Ibrahim or as everyone calls Uncle Ibrahim is everything you want in a host. He’s generous to a fault, attentive and knowledgeable. He knew where to go and how to go and what to do and he made me feel like I’m family. He runs two properties, Nalnshal and the Olive Garden I’ve stayed at one and seen the other and both are great with different flavors. There’s only one person for to call now in Siwa and that’s the Siwa Boss Uncle Ibrahim!
My stay at Baben Home was just wonderful. I was allowed to check-in before the time which was great after the long night journey to Siwa from Cairo. Breakfast was delicious and the staff is very helpful and friendly. They gave us nice recommendations and helped us to organize transport to all the spots we wanted to visit in Siwa. The room was so cozy as well as the rest of the house. I will definitely come back :)
Hotel manager Ali is friendly and very understanding, and he arranged pick-up from the bus station and a coupe of day trips for us. Nader is a very genuine, happy and chill boy who prepared the breakfast with lots of effort. Mousa is very nice and patient driver. They all made our trip in Siwa a special experience. Thank you all for everything.
Faraj has been a wonderful host. You can't miss on him, he's a knowledgeable guy that loves his bedouins roots and is ready to share them with you. The place itself is amazing, to visit Siwa you can't look for anything more. Room, bathroom and breakfast exceeded my expectations and will make sure to come back when I'll have the chance.
Everything was just perfekt. The room was quiet and very clean. Everyone was super friendly and amazingly helpful. The breakfast is great and the trips as well as transfers can be booked directly in the hotel. I would highly recommend everyone to stay here during their stay in Siwa - this is truly a oasis in the oasis.
Siwa oasis included my 2 weeks Itinerary in Egypt. I chose Siwa Shali resort to stay after seeing amazing photos and reviews. However the reality is more than pictures. Very good hospitality and authentic local vibe made my Siwa experience exceeded expectation. I really recommend this resort for the pleasant stay.
The staff was very welcoming and helpful to arrange visits or activities around Siwa during our stay. We had dinner there every night and the food was simple but really good. The location, a little outside of Siwa city centre, makes it very quiet and there are always tuktuk drivers around to move easily.
The best place we stayed in Egypt! Wonderful design, comfortable room, delicious breakfast. Ahmet, the owner, made planning activities and tours in Siwa very easy and is a very friendly guy. We enjoyed our stay and would like to come back some day.
This is probably the best stay in Siwa, for the people there.
The staff and the owner were all great friendly generous people, we were treated like a family, Mr. Helal, the owner was an exceptional personality as well as his beautiful wife.
Stunning location, lovely atmosphere, the staff were helpful. The hotel bungalows are surrounded by the lake and the views are gorgeous in each direction. Rooms are a great size, nice and bright.
The place is very comfortable, clean and safe, the staff is super kindness, helpfull and polite, they also speak good english, we highly recommend this hotel!!
A good new hotel, probably one of the best in Siwa, because it’s new. A little away from the noise of the city center. The service staff is trying very hard.
