Friendly staff, good food, nice evening pit fire. Aly is great host and very responsive and arranged tours for Oracle/Amoun, Cleopetra springs, mount camp and the salt mining pools. He also helped me by arranging for laundry service.

I would say the lodge is probably ideally situated for a visitor to Siwa. Obviously there are "eco-lodges" around that are outside the main square but you'd probably need a car if you wanted to get around. Here there are several restaurants within an easy walk, all of the shops of the main square (and Siwa honey, salt and dates are definitely worth buying). You have the old castle right at your doorstep.
Breakfast was good and they have Turkish coffee (the only kind of coffee you can get outside of Cairo in my experience).
We stayed in the family room which was comfortable for four. It even has a veranda with a fireplace. The lamps are made of salt!

I loved Olive Garden House Siwa and really enjoyed my stay! The staff were very welcoming and it was clear that they wanted to make sure we enjoyed our time in Siwa. They helped connect us with a tuk-tuk driver during our stay as well as giving us great guidance and recommendations. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and thoughtfully prepared! The property is beautiful, peaceful, relaxing, and evidently well taken care. The only things I would note are that the hot water for the shower can run out (especially if you have more than one person taking a shower after the other), it’s about a 20/25 minute walk to the center of town which was definitely doable - I felt safe walking at night, and the Wi-Fi only works in certain areas of the property.

Our time at Cafour House is the number one holiday I've had so far. As we arrived, Abdu and Nora (the owners) were helping and showed us around. Their kindness, communication and hospitality is waaay more than the expected, we really could enjoy the time here without any problem.
We had traditional egyptian breakfast, and also had lunch and dinner here for a very reasonble price. All meals were quite big portions, and tasted very well, thanks to the kitchen staff!:)
The hot spring is very nurturing, you can literally see the stars from the tub at night. One of my favourite.
The location is a bit far from the city centre, but you can experience real silence and peace here without and disturbing sounds.
The centre of Siwa city is a 15 min ride by tuktuk, for a very reasonable price. Abdu and Nora also helped us with the programmes, we tried desert safari (100%worth it) and we visited the Salt Lakes, the Cleopatra Spring, the Oracle Temple, the Amun Temple and watched the sunset on a nice spot with Hakam. He is an excellent tour guide, he knows a lot about this mysterious little city. I can fully recommend to ask him for guiding.
It's hard to summon the whole experience in one single sentence, but i'll try:
I will definitely come back:)
Greetings and hugs from 2 hungarian traveler

A beautiful green lake sits among this ocean of yellow sand, but Siwa has more than just breathtaking sceneries, it carries a culture of its own; local habitants of Siwa actually speaks their own language, which is more like the language spoken by the Berber (desert people from further west), than the Egyptian Arabic spoken in the rest of Egypt.

Visit Siwa if you are looking for history and nature.
Visit Siwa if you are looking for history and nature. The Mountain of the dead and The Temple of the Oracle are must see sites. Take the desert safari to explore the desert, ride around sand dunes, see an oasis, visit a hot spring. Nice!

Siwa is on of hidden Gems globally, it takes 7 hours by car from Cairo the Capital, Enjoy the nature in every single thing, starting from morning, enjoy a traditional Bedouin breakfast, Safari in western desert with local guide, sand surfing, and Tea on fire, ending it up with midnight camping on middle of nowhere,
Second day, the salt lakes where it heal your skin burns or scars, do it carefully and don't put your eyes into the water, Never. Ending up in Cleopatra spring to wash up all your sins, ;)
Third day, have a round in old Siwa, enjoying Abdo Rest. eating local food and shop around for pure healthy herbs.

There is little to do here.
There is little to do here. Two mediocre archaeological sites, one spring (Cleopatra pool). Only one restaurant. The fresh water lake has no real access. The salt lake is a long drive to where you can swim in rectangular mined areas.
It might be ok for people who want to hang out in their hotel beside a pool and do nothing. Flies everywhere and bad mosquitoes at dusk and dawn.

Everyone deserves a trip to Siwa.
Everyone deserves a trip to Siwa. I know the road there and back may dissuade you but it is entirely worth your time. In fact, I would dare say you NEED to come here. Here you will experience a different culture than the hustle and bustle of Cairo and Luxor. There is plenty going on here but it is much less crowded and much more peaceful. The Siwa Salt Lakes are a must-see experience. There is something almost other-worldly in the air here, especially coming from the busy streets of more densely populated Egyptian cities. Just a few days here in the middle of your trip and you will feel ready to tackle the rest of your Egyptian cities. Missing this place and all the tuktuk rides so much!
Had such a an amazing stay with Abdalla. He is extremely welcoming and hospitable. He instantly makes the place feel like your home. He’s very social and is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. this place felt more like a hotel, with only two beds in the dorm, the other bed being unoccupied during my stay. It is very clean, there’s a kitchen you can use and he makes you a delicious breakfast every morning. I am so happy I got to stay here.
Everything, starting from the location in Dakrour mountain and the marvelous view, to the staff (Ali Noweigy) helpful, clean, smiley faces all the time, strongly helpful in every way, to the room and how clean, neat, beautiful, comfy & saving the tradition of SIWA in all it’s details, also the breakfast amazing that most of it from the plants growing around the rooms of the Grand SIWA Home, yes it’s a home of extraordinary art and beauty.
After arriving at the house, I found that the surrounding environment was very dirty and poor. The house was in ruins and there was a lot of rubbish. The owner is from Cairo. The double room is just a large floor bunk with few facilities. We have to share the living room and public toilet with other people. At this price, we can rent a better house in Siwa. Please choose carefully unless you don’t mind!
One of the best places I've stayed at. It's a little far from the centre, so it's very peaceful and quiet, with a beautiful view. A perfect place for some rest. It's easy to get to the centre and the hotel organizes tours to the attractions around Siwa.
The rooms are simple but comfortable, the staff is very nice and friendly. And the breakfast was delicious.
This hostel is right in the center of siwa Oasis, you can reach places easily. The host- Abadalla is a really helpful and cool bro. He let me know more about siwa and let me experience the local life in siwa. The people lived in this hostel are also friendly and we visited places together. I will highly recommend this hostel if you plan to visit siwa.
Siwa oasis included my 2 weeks Itinerary in Egypt. I chose Siwa Shali resort to stay after seeing amazing photos and reviews. However the reality is more than pictures. Very good hospitality and authentic local vibe made my Siwa experience exceeded expectation. I really recommend this resort for the pleasant stay.
Everything was good!
The staff was very friendly, the hotel was decorated prettily, with hammocks, etc., and I highly recommend it!
Breakfast is very good, and there is plenty of it to fill you up!
Also, at night there is a campfire and music on the speakers, which makes for a fun time!
Thank you!
The location of the hotel, right behind the Shali fortress, is great; the rooms are basic but comfortable; the breakfast was prepared on the spot and was really, really generous and good; the staff were really helpful and always around to help. I would definitely recommend it.
Ahhhh we had an amazing stay, we were treated like queens. Really we had everything we wanted for the perfect stay. Hot spring, fire, desert, sunset, sunrise, amazing music amazing host and I highly recommend doing the 4x4 desert tour. It was the highlight of siwa.
The staff was amazing, helping on everything you need wherever you need it, sorting the tour around Siwa on taxi or even the desert safari if you fancy!! The price of the rooms are fair enough and have and amazing swimming pool to cool you down after a hot day !!
Charming place near sand dunes with great view over Siwa oasis. Fantastic breakfast, self-planted dates and olives and charmingly hosted. Language was sometimes a barrier, but we worked our way around. Thank you to Yousef and Ahmed for the great stay.
staff & location . Manager Salamah is a great person and he adds value to our vacation . He is so professional and always advice where to go and what to visit and beyond that he let us feel we are at home . the Hotel is in the heart of everything .
We really enjoyed our stay in Sleep in Siwa. The hotel was very peaceful and pretty. Ahmed was helpful in planning our outings and the staff were very nice. Breakfast was excellent - tasty, healthy and filling.
One comes to Siwa to enjoy the splendid isolation of the oasis and the desert and this property combines both as well as a respect to the Siwan tradition regarding achitectural features , decoration etc
Very Clean and Best location in siwa to achieve the target of being relax and ecolodge luxury , Staff Friendly , Special thanks to the staff for helping me out with activities and service during my stay
