Apartment was clean and well-equipped with access to a shared roof terrace (with limited views). Bus stop for buses to all parts of the island less than 5 minutes walk away.

Nice authentic village that is not crowded with too many tourists. Bar Cafeteria Karile 2 is a very nice restaurant and worth paying a visit. Spar supermarket in town center is well stocked.
Arquineguin is near nice places like Puerto Rico, Playa de Amadores beach Puerto de Mogan, Meloneras, Maspalomas. The capital Las Palmas is not too far (60 minutes by car). At Vecindario (25 minutes by car) you will find huge shopping facilities amongst the huge Carrefour that has everything you possibly need.

A charming town with some nice cafes and restaurants (the tasting menu at Taste Gran Canaria was a highlight), a good bay for swimming and also a tidal pool for floating in while watching the sun set over the sea. A good base for relaxing and also exploring more of the island. There are ferries from the dock out to Puerto Rico or Mogan (the latter is a bit quieter/nicer in my opinion). The bus access to the airport and other parts of the island following the main road is also really good, fast and cheap (less than 5EUR to the airport one way and around 40mins).

Arguineguín is just the right size town that has several beaches and lots of places to eat and there is live music and dancing. This is a quiet and safe city to travel in. Here you can also take a boat or bus to other places. Recommend Arguineguín.

We used Arguineguín as a base for a cycling holiday. Very convenient to rent bikes from FreeMotion in the town. Good access to GC500 coast road with takes you to various big climbs. We went to a few of the cafés and used the big Spar for self catering mostly.

It is not purely a tourist resort, but a resort on the edge of a small town, which we like. An excellent market. Good restaurants and beaches and an excellent wine store. There are a lot of Norwegians, not sure whether that is good or bad!
