It was super clean and comfortable with memory foam beds and a stunning sea view.
Hi tech fittings
Wonderful breakfast, warm croissants cheese, iberico ham, eggs bacon and lots more. Fresh orange juice was delicious.

Very private location and feeling of exclusivity. The receptionists are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The lady in the morning shift is an excellent conversationalist and her English is very good. The lady in the evening is very enthusiastic, although her English is limited. Beds are comfy and towels are fluff. Bathroom floor is heated. Wi-Fi is reasonably fast.

Bakio is a terrific beach and surfing resort, but we didn't go for either of those. We went because it's close to Gaztelugatxe and there are some very good restaurants nearby. And a txakoli museum! Check it out!
Set the bar for good hospitality so far on our entire trip. Everyone involved in running the hotel was absolutely great. The breakfast was out of this world. The owner makes the bread, garden fresh tomatoes, and even the olive oil. Truly incredible. The rooms and hotel in general are stylish and modern. The location is great. There has obviously been a great attention to detail in putting the hotel together. It has been a long time family house and the owners/managers take great pride in it. Do yourself a favor and stay here.
The building has a very special charming spirit, owned by 4 generations of the family, renovated with unprecedented attention to details. Lovely interior, perfect state of the bathroom, the best bed to sleep in! In addition to a cute terrace looking at the beach. The hotel staff & owners very super helpful with giving us recommendations where to have a diner in Bakio and even helped with a reservation for lunch next day in an unforgettable location. We loved the place!
Location was excellent, in front of the beach. I went to hike the “Ermita de San Juan de Gaztelugatxe” and the bus was just behind the hotel. The next day I went to Bilbao and the bus stop was also behind the hotel. You have to bus choices and runs every 30 minutes. There is a choice of 2 buses, one ending in 17 which takes you all around the area and a fastest one ending in 18. Staff was very nice, helpful and attentive.
Great place to stay, the apartment was very spacious, clean, fully equipped, and overall very comfortable so we felt at home the second we checked-in.
And of course the view of the ocean on the horizon in the morning is always a plus.
On top of that, the host just knows how to welcome you and adds the cherry on top of our stay in Bakio.
Overall, it exceeded our expectations and we'll come back if we have a chance to.
We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The location is fantastic, offering easy access to the beautiful Bakio Beach.
The staff were incredibly helpful throughout our stay, always ready to assist with any requests.
Despite a minor inconvenience, the exceptional kindness of the staff more than made up for it. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction.
I highly recommend this hotel.
The room was very comfortable, especially the beds. The hotel is located right next to the road but it was very quiet (our room faced the backyard). The common dining area was cozy, clean, and well-maintained. Our host Sarai received us warmly. We are very grateful to Sarai for giving us good advice on visiting Gaztelugatxeko Doniene and other cities in the Basque region. We had a great stay.
Alicia our host was incredible! It was our anniversary and she gave us a beautiful bottle of wine from the cottage vineyards. The location was idyllic- we enjoyed a 15 minute walk to the beach and one of the best meals I had in Spain. Our room was charming and breakfast on the patio was wonderful.
Quite hotel in an old building that has been remodeled. The place was clean, the room was nice, bed was good. There is no AC but temperature was cold so it was good (I would not stay here in summer). The lady at reception very nice and helpful. Free parking onsite.
very nice place in general
The place was very pleasant and very easy to get there. Parking on site is a plus. the rooms were spacious and, because the hotel is an old house, expect some not so modern finishes. Good TV and good views from the room windows. Very close to supermarket and the beach. Breakfast was good.

Spacious open plan apartment. Very comfortable, with very good fixtures and fittings and kept very clean. The location at the eastern edge of Bakio was excellent and was an easy walk into the town and to the beach.
THE LOCATION IS GREAT. IT'S A 3-MINUTE WALK TO BAKIO BEACH. The house is one of the most beautiful houses in this town. The owner is also very friendly.
