The hospitality was outstanding and facilities very satisfactory. We showed up dripping wet, cold and muddy from a day of hiking in rain and were welcomed as though we were family. Great ambiance, food and service at the bar-restaurant too. Great value for money. The apartment was a perfect place for our stay in the very beautiful village.The apartment has a kitchen, a living room and two bedrooms. The shower provides instantly hot water! So everything was fine and comfortable. Better take one of the two upstairs apartments because of the beautiful views. Parking is possible nearby. There is a small shop in the village (but no gas station and no bank/atm). The roads to Genalguacil are awesome, steep and winding - great if you love mountain roads! Also very good hiking opportunities around here.

The inhabitants of the mountain village as well as the mountain village itself convey a cosy warmth so that one feels at home. It is a good starting point for hikes to the nearby villages in the area. There are also small grocery stores to enjoy a quiet stay. When I was there in March, the restaurant was unfortunately not open.
The location and the views from the property was fantastic. Benalauria is a lovely unspoilt traditional Andalucian hill town, better than the other towns we visited. The people were nice as well. The were very good walks right from your door step.
