Not a great deal. We were allocated a room in the roof space of the hotel. There was no air con available as they said it was cold weather when it was in the 20s. The window was a "push up" one which let a tiny bit of cool air in during the night but also noise from the main street below as this was the only way of cooling the room. The hotel staff were pleasant and did try to help, but could not speak much English and to be fair I don't think they had much passing trade from tourists. Neither did the town, as we didn't find many people who wanted to help us to find a restaurant which was open at a reasonable time. All in all not a great experience including a hard bed and hard pillows.

Parador de Benavente is a converted 12th-century royal castle in Zamora province. It features impressive décor and offers an outdoor pool and attractive rooms with free Wi-Fi.

Good Parador hotel and what you would expect at this level for facilities and grandeur Parking is public however outside the hotel and was full on arrival but subsequently some spaces came up The bar was friendly but there might have been a mix up on language as we ordered carafes of house wine at 13 euro but they delivered bottles? at 23 euro which added to the bill We decided to order bar snacks which was very disappointing as the burger and fries came with 6 fries ?? In fact all 4 plates barely had a portion between them ? Not what we expected but the breakfast was very good in balance

The room was very clean, silent, perfect sheets, comfortable bed. The location is strategically positioned in between the Portuguese and Spanish border, which is very convenient for traveling from one country to the other.

Everything. Excellent room, quiet despite the building facing the road. Very nice, friendly and helpful staff! Good dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. Great value for money. Exactly what I needed for a good nights rest in a private room after having already walked 23 days and 700 km on the Via de la Plata.

We have a came very late , but they still let us in. They have garage parking for our quadbike (need pay extra). For one night was perfect.

Very well equipped and clean albergue. Good beds, warm blankets, good bathrooms and facilities, kitchen, heating .. all good! I recommend this albergue. Paco, the owner who also runs the neighboring bar, was very helpful and friendly :-)
