The woman who checked us in, I think her name was Sylvia, was extremely polite and courteous. There was a small issue with our reservation. She handled it professionally. Can’t say enough good things about her.

A beautiful hotel in a great location for the Camino del Norte

Colunga is just off the coast and probably 2km to the west of Hotel Los Caspios. It is a busy, nice little town with plenty of bars and eating places. The Church dominates the centre. There are a couple of ATMs there too, but beware, they charge for withdrawing, especially Sterling to Euros.
We liked pretty much everything! Our arrival as pilgrims having walked through torrential rain was greeted with concern and care, and every possible effort to make us feel welcome and comfortable. An extra meal was laid on and a dip in the pool allowed. The room was perfectly comfortable and the hotel itself, beautiful.
Positives:
The hotel was nice from the inside and had about 10 free parking spots in the courtyard. The room was clean, bed comfortable, had 2 desks, 2 night stands, big closets, TV, hairdryer. No noise came from outside or neighbors.
All in all, it was an ok stay, nothing major to complain about.
The hotel was ideal for a Camino walker. The staff were really nice. Gemma spoke in English to me which was really nice.
The room was really well equipped, it looked great, with a nice view of the mountains outside. I had breakfast at a great price as well.
Well worth the stay, a nice treat.
Nice clean room, windows opened nice and wide to let the afternoon sunshine in. comfy bed, good wifi, fridge, quiet building. After a day on the Camino I slept almost 9 hours!
Good grocery store right next door and Las Vegas Cafe opened early when walking out of town.
Incredibly friendly staff and right off Camino de santiago. Rooms were what you would expect for a 1 star hotel, but a good value. Breakfast was 4,50 and consisted of coffee, toast, and fresh squeezed orange juice. We enjoyed our stay here. Quiet town.
Sylvia was exceptional in making sure everything was just right for our stay. We cannot say thank you enough! The hotel was beautiful, the rooms were very nice and the beds were comfortable. The location was excellent for Camino travelers.
The location was great, just outside town but close enough. It felt away from it all with horses in the paddock outside. The hotel had a charm to it and was very comfortable with a big room and bathroom.
The hotel was adequate, but the hosts (staff) were exceptional! It was the warm and welcoming staff that made this a very pleasant and memorable stay. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome.
Staff were very welcoming and helpful with my travel planning. The hotel had a nice room that was clean with a comfortable bed. The Hotel was also in a good location to the beach, cafes and bus stop.
Very nice setting with our own private patio. Close to the Camino in La Isla. We had a problem with the washer door and the owner came to fix it and make sure we didn’t have a problem later.
Very traditional old style hotel with a great restaurant and bar below,,set in the centre of the small Town, a fair distance walk away from the beach but a pleasant walk.
Quirky and artistic style of the rooms and the garden. Its nice to stay in a place that is not decorated exactly like most hotels. The place has a romantic feel.
